WEEK 100 in Olney, Not Much Else Is Better!! 12-08-07: Operation Infinite FReep
Dec. 13,2007

Posted on 12/12/2007 6:23:42 PM PST by trooprally

ONE HUNDRED WEEKS in Olney!!

Can't say 100 WEEKS straight because we missed one week this past September for GoE III. But I think we can be forgiven, everyone wanted to support our troops and give the moonbats hell.

Besides, in August, 2006 we did two FReeps in Olney. See FReep 1: Week 34 and FReep 2: Week 34.

Honor Roll Call (16) for this week were: Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - Iwo Jima), Clyde (Navy - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Frank (Army - Korea), Carl

and Lurkers Bill and newbie Gary

and FReepers Apple Blossom, BMWcyle, BufordP, Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, iMacMan, VictoryNY, [Mrs] Trooprally, and me.

Pics by iMacMan and [Mrs] T.

Hey BufordP, iMacMan did the candy cane arrows just for you.

BELOW: Our group minus Lurker Bill, on Northwest corner, and iMacMan (taking pic) with me on Southeast corner.

BELOW: Close up of our center. L-R: iMacMan's wife, Fraxinus, BufordP behind his sign, [Mrs] T, Apple blossom and BMWcyle.

Seth, a local resident stopped by today to get some film footage for a documentary of Olney. After some vetting, he was free to film and ask questions of our group. Several FReepers who talked to him off camera were also satisfied that he was not a moonbat plant and that he'll do us "right". Some google searching did not turn up any red flags and verified what he told us. The documentary will be put together in some future date and we'll get a copy when it is.

BELOW LEFT: Seth doing the initial interview with me. Damn, my winter mane is getting long. BELOW RIGHT: Seth taking BMWcyle's classic pose with cigar.

As it turned out, (BELOW), Seth looked eerily similar to our own Fraxinus. Upon further research, turns out Fraxinus and Seth were conjoined twins that were separated at birth by a CHAIN SAW. Everyone got a laugh on that one.

BELOW LEFT: Set up by Apple Blossom with [Mrs] T looking on. We had to assemble the banners on the sidewalk and carefully walk them up the snowy hill. BELOW RIGHT: The banner and flags on our right flank. Seth taking pics of them.

BELOW LEFT: With so many FReepers, Lurkers and Legionnaires in attendance, Lurker Bill heads over to the Northwest corner, stopping in the median strip for several light changes. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Bill finally on the Northwest corner.

And our Legionnaires.

BELOW LEFT: L-R: Halsey, Post commander, Frank, Past Post Commander and current Post Chaplin, Clyde, FReep newbie and Past Post Commander, and Glenn, Past Post Commander. BELOW RIGHT: And Carl. Notice the caps worn by the Legionnaires. Also, [Mrs] T and Cindy_True_Supporter are members of this Post.

BELOW LEFT: Halsey's dog, Copper shows his support of our troops. BELOW RIGHT: Mrs. iMacMan. She stole Copper's sign!!

BELOW LEFT: Our group with all 5 banners in view. BELOW RIGHT: Fraxinus with a BufordP sign. With all the signs we have, several of us hold different signs during our FReep.

BELOW LEFT: Apple Blossom and BMWcyle. BELOW RIGHT: L-R: BufordP, Glenn and VictoryNY

"And Now For Something Completely Different", iMacMan's special pictures of passing supporters from the Southeast corner.

To get these pictures, iMacMan 'aimmed' from the chest on wide lens, taking 3 pics every snap. The he weeds thru more than 300 pics to pick the best handful. Theeen, he adds the candy canes and sends about 20 of the best to us. We then weed out the best of the best to show these, some times lightening them up to better show the waves and thumbs up.

So enjoy iMacMan's labor intensive work.

And then there is this idiot!!

After breaking up in Olney, Lurker Bill, BufordP and I left Olney and headed up to Westminster, MD, for an Eagles Gathering.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Nice report. Congrats on 100 times at Olney, but no one will buy the “Fraxinus and Seth are twins” story.

You’ve basically leaked out info about the Halliburton experimental technique to clone FReepers. How long until we can get our clones to write the AARs and when will my clone be ready?

You clone will be ready just in time for warmer weather. Hope to see him out at Walter Reed and maybe Olney around April.

I guess I should have put a “Pic Heavy” warning in the title. At least you can enjoy the warm weather while its uploading.

As you know we have a lot of fun at Olney. How’s that mouse pad doing? This Saturday might be a little dicey. Calling for a winter mix.

Thank You from the Olney gang, and from me personally. While we had a lot of other FReeper Vets with us in Olney that didn’t get recognized, our group is aware of them. I was recognizing the local Post for their great support of our Troop Rally.

Thanks and sorry you can’t make it this weekend. At least last year we had a real good time with you here.

Being a photo nut yourself, your compliments to [Mrs] T and iMacMan are appreciated.

Stay warm.

Dial-up...no need for warning, I just expect it. If the other computer ever gets working I will upgrade.

That mouse pad is the centerpiece of the desk here!

Beautiful weather here, after two cool nights we have airconditioners running again this week.

I would like to box some sunshine and send it to you!

Another box on the way, however. Merry Christmas.

What does Mrs. iMacMan’s wife’s sign say (the one that starts off “How About...”)?

"How About Rooting for the Troops for a Change, Liberal Morons?"

That was my guess - I just couldn’t make it out in the picture.

The original caption I saw on that image was “How about a nice hot cup of STFU”, but it didn’t make sense in the context and the letter/word sizes didn’t line up.

Thanks for the reply.

To all the Olney bunch -
Those of us from Montgomery County, and currently in Iraq, appreciate what you all are doing for us every week.
