I think he’s got no chance of doing anything in NH. Didn’t he publicly write them off already? He gets like 3% in NH polls.

His entering time frame was similar to those of previous years. It just seemed so late because everyone else seemed to have jumped in as soon as the 2006 elections had ended!

Well guess what? That's starting late. If the baseball season usually starts in April, but then gets changed to March, does it make sense to forfeit all yer games til April because that's when it used to start? Well, I guess we'll see how much sense it makes on caucus day.

Really? Not even Laura is for Fred? Who is she for? It’d have to be either Hunter or Romney, I’m guessing.

I think what I said speaks for itself: 10am-7pm is not a blistering schedule, especially in the homestretch when you're in 5th place.

As for my view of Fred, I just don't see him as a contender at this point. It's a bummer, cuz the rest of the field is slim pickens, and idea of Fred seemed like a winner. I just don't see it happening.

Oh good, you responded to Huck.

I thought he was over here on this old thread talking to himself.

Even though I can understand Fred's stradtegery in spending all his resources in Iowa.. I think he should go on to NH and SC a few days ( 3-4 ) before the Iowa Caucus.
The only 2 I like is Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.
You are right, other than them 2, there is not much choice.

It just seems to me that Laura is for Romney. I do not know why she would not be for Fred Thompson! Guess she does not mind flip-flopping. I am looking forward to hearing about events as Fred, Jeri, Hayden, and Sammy head back out on the campaign trail in Iowa tomorrow. Also looking forward to hearing Mark Belling who is sitting in for Rush tomorrow and Thursday. Mark Belling (Milwaukee WI) is a huge Fred Thompson supporter!

It’s my impression Fred blew his chances in NH a long time ago. Pretty much blew em off.

I don’t usually hear Laura’s show, so I don’t know. But I guessed she might be for Romney. She is an urban, DC chick, isn’t she? And Fred is underwhelming as a candidate.

Considering the fact that about 60% of Iowans were still undecided as of last week, all those who got in early sure didn’t do themselves that much good!

Yeah that Huckabee sure is sucking wind. Bummer for him he came in a surprise second place in the Iowa straw poll, setting off the "Huckaboom." It's not as if political campaigns have anything to do with establishing momentum, getting a bandwagon rolling that ppl will want to jump onto. Naaaaaah, that's got nothing to do with it. Much better to hide in the weeds, in 5th place. lol.

Roll away!

FRED THOMPSON as always, was magnificant! Huckelberry got his walking papers today on RUSH. The truth will come home as will all the true Republicans and born again Conservatives.

FRED THOMPSON - NATIONAL SECURITY EXPERIENCE (I’ll protect the American people and American values, whatever it takes to stop the Islamic-Fascists including water-boarding!) - 2ND AMENDMENT ADVOCATE (“Individual” rights to protect their homes and property!)

INCREASE THE MILITARY’S STRENGTH AND SIZE (Diplomacy through Strength and verification!)

SECURE AND SEAL THE BORDERS (Don’t give sanctuary anywhere to illegal’s; don’t employ illegal’s; don’t rent to illegal’s; don’t extend credit to illegal’s; don’t give illegal’s rights they have no right to; report all crimes committed by illegal’s to ICE and immediately deport those illegal’s who have already committed crimes against America!) LAW AND ORDER (Enforcement of our current laws regarding illegal immigration!) – DENY FEDERAL DOLLARS TO SANCTUARY CITIES (Enough is enough!)

CONSERVATIVE JUSTICES FOR SUPREMES (Great progress has been made on the Supreme Court in Bush’s term. FRED was asked by President Bush to spirit Justice Roberts through the confirmation process. The next President will probably have the opportunity to seat two additional Justices. This is huge folks. FRED will nominate Justices who will interpret the Constitution, not create rights that simply do not exist and legislate from the bench!) – PRO-LIFE ADVOCATE (will strive to nominate superior Justices with the eventual goal of overturning Roe vs Wade)

SOCIAL SECURITY REFORMER (Social Security is an entitlement program that will soon overtake the budget. The program can’t sustain itself and will bankrupt future generations; FRED has detailed proposals to save Social Security and provide the added benefit of private savings accounts for younger workers!)

DEFEAT ANY DEMOCRAT OR RINO (Close your eyes and imagine the first debate between FRED THOMPSON and ANY liberal DemocRAT they put up?)

TAX SIMPLIFICATION (Reform and perhaps eliminate the IRS with a variety of choice for the tax payer!)

EDUCATION (Return education to the States. It is that simple. The NEA is the greatest enemy of our educational system!)

WON’T PUT UP WITH TRUTH MANIPULATION FROM THE DB-MSM (including stupid questions by liberal moderators, and “purchased” political pundits)

FRED THOMPSON IS THE “WE THE PEOPLE” CANDIDATE (We the People asked him to set aside his personal life and step up one more time for his Country…and he stepped up!)

THIRD IN IOWA, SECOND IN WYOMING (MSM still calling it a tie with McCain’s name in the lead…FoxNews won’t even mention his name if they can find a way to avoid it!)
