High noon in the living room

Another no-knock warrant success story It was just after midnight on Dec. 16, and Yee Moua was unwinding in her spartan north Minneapolis home, watching TV. Such moments of solitude are hard to come by when you're trying to raise six children in a crime-plagued neighborhood. Her husband, who had recently lost his job as a machine operator, and their kids were asleep.

So when one of her windows shattered, she knew it wasn't an accident. There were voices. Men were breaking into their home.

She ran upstairs. Vang Khang had already removed his shotgun from a closet and was ready to defend his family and property. They heard footsteps on the stairs.

Mr. Khang fired three blasts through his door. More than 20 shots came back at them through the walls.

Calling the police on this night would have done Ms. Moua and Mr. Khang no good. They were already there.

I know it’s part MSM thang yet I am reading more wrong address SWAT fiasco’s than I am home invasions by armed gangs........

Wonder if gangs will provide protection against the police at some point vs the alternative.

One of these wrong house dances of death is too many.

I have one of these from PatriotShop.com

But I haven't put it on my door yet. It probably wouldn't deter home invaders with warrants.

Merry Christmas to you and yours and don't shoot Santa.

I’m NOT looking forward to somebody coming here by mistake at night, or otherwise. Everbody (5 people) have a high-cap center fire, semi-auto rifle next to the bed and they know which area to cover if we get up on account of things that go “bump”. A “stacked entry” would be an ugly and messy event. I hope this trend reverses, but until then we keep our methods and attitudes.

"This time you're outright lying."

So this no-knock involved drugs? Show me where. You can't.

I have several motion sensor lights, some hard wired, some solar powered. I havn't done this yet, (keep meaning to), but I think some should be converted to a non-light alarm, that does a light or buzzer inside the house. If a real SWAT team or other armed gang gets to your front door unnoticed, there's going to be real trouble, no matter what.

I did this scenario fictionally in my first book, but the home owner had an advance warning and time to set up an ambush. In real life, the first indication is likely to be the "flash bang wake up" followed by a half dozen Sure-Fire gun lights in your face. Any move to reach for your bed gun at that point will most likely be your last.

All no-knock warrants owe their use and existence in U.S. law to the WoSDs.

‘No-Knock’ Searches Get People Killed

Charles P. Garcia, in "The Knock and Announce Rule: A New Approach to the Destruction-of-Evidence Exception," 1993, reports: "In 1970, the Nixon administration declared a ‘War on Drugs.’ The Justice Department urged Congress to enact a comprehensive anti-drug strategy and suggested that a general ‘no-knock’ provision could constitutionally be added to aid in enforcement. ...

"The ‘no-knock’ experience lasted four years. ... During the four-year period when ‘no-knock’ warrants were issued, horror stories were legion. ... In an exhaustive eight-week investigation by The New York Times, consisting of interviews with victims of ‘no-knock’ raids, reporters found that ‘Innocent Americans around the country have been subject to dozens of mistaken, violent and often illegal police raids by local, state and Federal narcotics agents in search of illicit drugs and their dealers.’

Perhaps the most prominent common thread between leftists, statists and fascists is their complete detachment from the most basic factor of reality; cause and effect. That is; actions have consequences, conditions have causes. This basic uprooting from reality is what makes leftists, statists and fascists mentally and emotionally unstable and dangerous.

Your reality is divorced from the actuality that no-knock warrants were illegal until Nixon, Reagan, Bush I, Congress and finally the SCOTUS made them legal for one reason only to fight the WODs.

Without that most basic grounding in reality you probably think you are telling the truth as it enables you to treat events as if they randomly occur having no connection to what has gone before. That disconnect from the fact that all phenomena is conditioned by previous actions only exists in your mind. Which is itself further proof of cause and effect as, at some point, you chose to isolate your thinking from that fundamental truth. In essence you are more of a mental cripple than a liar. The shame of it is it is self-imposed.

Any cartridge that is an effective man stopper will go through multiple walls.

Well, except for a 12 gauge loaded with bird shot. it'll go through a very near wall, but beyond that, it's not a good penetrator. I've seen several folks shot with it, but of course at 100 or more yards, not at "inside the house" range.

Meant to add that I hope to never see anyone shot with a 12 gauge loaded with bird shot at “inside the house” range. I load mine with something a little heavier, but still not 00 buck. However I have brick veneer all around, and my neighbors do as well. Still, I don’t want that kind of mess to clean up unless it’s absolutely necessary.

THEN you can get all indignant and self-righteous

A 2006 study by the Cato Institute concluded: "Because of shoddy police work, over-reliance on informants, and other problems, each year hundreds of raids are conducted on the wrong addresses, bringing unnecessary terror and frightening confrontation to people never suspected of a crime."

I think this is sufficient reason to be self-righteous and indignant. You think this is what the Founders had in mind for this nation? Your tax dollars at work.

Wow...now THERE is an idea! What sort of hardware would you use for the non-light alarm? I “think” I have a pretty good idea. I was thinking of a way off the top, but it would be “messy” to wire.

‘no knock’ swat raids are far more danger to he Republic than any actions of mere druggie and/or gang bangers.
