Short Circuiting the MSM - FreeRepublic (vanity)
my patriotic mind ^ | 1/4/2008 | Eddie01

Posted on 01/04/2008 6:54:01 AM PST by Eddie01

After witnessing the Iowa primary process, I am convinced more than ever the MSM (INCLUDING FNC) are choosing this nations candidates through subversion.

Presented with no other outlets for information, voters continue to focus their attention on the establishment media who as we are witnessing, protect each other and their grip on voter attention/opinion.

FreeRepublic.com is by far the most powerful conservative information outlet and reasoned debate forum on the web.

What I have learned here (key point) has had more of a profound personal impact on my political opinion than any other information source in my life and I am very greatful for that as I'm sure many others are as well.

There is no memory hole here, and Freepers can't be spun.

Thank you Mr. Robinson. Profoundly.

FreeRepublic's potential influence is an enormous threat to the MSM/DBM, but for now FreeRepublic is in check.

My point:

Advertise. Go on the offensive. A membership drive of National proportion.

Run a campaign through local chapters for FreeRepublic as "Your Source of Information", "The Next Media", whatever.

- or -

Raise money for 30 second campaign spots on Fox and CNN.

- or -

Both.

Create some new signs and banners with www.FreeRepublic.com on them and hit the corners.

Find a way to turn this Nations attention to FreeRepublic through a bonafied marketing campaign as if FreeRepublic was a candidate for president.

Proud Freeper Eddie01

How about a TRUE conservative national television channel?

Free Republic TV?

You can do the same as above to promote the candidate.

Foxnews lost me a few years ago. They provided an alternative view...until they became #1. Then, they just tried to out-liberal the other networks.

It’s bigger than any one candidate. The goal is to free the nation from the miserable manipulation of the MSM. Break their power.

I can accept my guy not winning, if I know the voters are informed to the level Freepers are. (instead of voting based on shirt color as an example)

Best.

In the meantime every real Freeper needs to be a monthly contributor.

A simple 5$/monthly donation would enable Free Republic to be even more of a reality nightmare for the MSM.

People, who donate to Free Republic are the real heroes.

People, who don’t donate are Freeploaders and are in the same category as illegal aliens demanding free services.

Everyone needs to go the Freepathon and become a monthly donor.

Bill O’Reilly you might recall, bore false witness against this sight during his segment on the “left wing hate sights” noting we were a “right wing hate sight” pulling out of context quotes and making one up about hating blacks (we couldn’t find the quote and neither could Fox news when challenged).

An MSM shot over our bow.

I agree with you...however what better way to show the MSM they do not have the last word than to circumvent them totally and use grassroots to not only promote FreeRepublic but the candidate they dismiss. Thats a twofer.

I think that will come up once the R and D delegates are chosen. Any one of the current Republican candidates, minus Paul or Huckabee, will mop the floor with the weak Dem candidates in 2008. It’s going to be a landslide for the republicans this year, keep your chin up! Nobody wants more taxes, a weaker U.S., and defeat in the WOT, except the money-grubbing unions, welfare slackers, and professional anti-Americans. The Democrat party is vested in failure and economic catastrophe.

"People, who don’t donate are Freeploaders and are in the same category as illegal aliens demanding free services."

Really? Then how about making F.R.a pay-by-the-view-site? Yeah, that's the ticket..to make F.R. completely irrelevant, if not gone altogether.

How about a TRUE conservative national television channel?

Now, you know the air ways are already controlled by the conservatives, just ask Hitlerbeast!

The left has tried every scam in the play book to employ a major liberal radio station, the audience just isn’t there for their hatred of America.

Moveon.orgey couldn’t exist if it were not for George Sorry*ss and other left leaning moguls!!!

You are exactly right, of course.

I maintain there are quadrillions to be made by whomever can implement a national conservative television channel. Make that septillions....

I think of it as a media shell game, where they keep hiding the target under different issue cups while they promote endless distractions about fluff to keep you occupied until they get what they really want.

I am sick to death of the corrupt media on all sides. FOX news did used to be a sort of beacon in the wilderness but in the last couple of years they have decided to simply plug themselves into the MSM playbook and stop trying to cover anything other than the MSM directed agenda and from the MSM perspective.

Mort, Fred and Bill K. can both take a flying leap as far as I’m concerned. I’ve stopped watching FOX except for a few selected shows and sometimes - rarely - the news. There's no point when I can get the exact same news presented in the exact same way on virtually any other MSM channel.
