So the solution is to allow Shrillary to disarm the Rush Limbaugh’s with the fairness doctrine!

BEAUTIFUL!

“Suppose you buy meat for your restaurant from a supplier. The supplier begins selling you rancid meat. Do you keep taking the unacceptable product? If you do you’ll only get more of the same.”

To carry the analogy further, do you go to the butcher down the street and get 50 pounds of radioactive hot dogs instead? That would obviously be much worse for you, your family, and everyone around you!

Were we at war during Carter 1 and Clinton?

I don't see how McCain could logically arrive at his positions.

He's desperate to become CIC so he'll say anything. He's a certified lunatic propped up by a fawning media which lavishes praise on his liberal stands. Only a kook attacks his base and think he'll get elected. The boy is loco.

Rather than worry about why so many here and elsewhere are so mad at the GOP for anointing McNasty, why not look at the scumbag for what he is? A party that stands for nothing or is no different than it’s supposed enemy party is itself “the enemy” of its members!

I would imagine that quite a few freepers are not Republicans, but are Indy cons like me. They don’t “dance” every time the Rinocracy—the powers that be who “approve” of a McNasty or a Suckabee candidacy—says “Dance!” And unlike the usual reports of how “Independents are going for McNasty”, there are a lot of Indy cons who feel exactly like Ann Coulter feels, only she says it a hell of a lot better.

First of all, it’s a no-win situation no matter how you look at it. When the BEST we can hope for is a flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal, you see there are no good outcomes. We are doomed to electing someone worse than Bush, no matter what party label they wear.

I’m definitely NOT voting for McCain. I’m definitely NOT voting for Clinton. Maybe that means third party or maybe that means staying home. But it WON’T be to teach the GOP a lesson. I think they’ve gone too far over the cliff for that. What I am realizing is that the GOP is the FORMER home of the Conservative movement and is no longer a party I can respect if they nominate Sen. McJudas.

If it came down to Obama versus McCain, I could picture myself voting for Obama since I don’t think he’ll be effective getting anything passed and the Dems will catch all the flack for the impending disasters to come instead of having bipartisan cover while a President McCain signs off on the things the Democrats want.

As for the troops, probably the best thing for them IS to come home if any of the current front-runners are calling the shots. They can be content that they got about 80% of the job done in Iraq and any remaining mission failures were failures from Washington not failures in the field.

No, that’s not how I want it to be but it is shaping up that there is no scenario that is anywhere close to how I want it to be. There are only worse scenarios than unspeakably bad scenarios. To me, that’s not a valid reason for choosing unspeakably bad candidates just to prevent even worse ones.

So, I am a man without a party. I feel nothing for the Republicans after voting for them ever since I was legal to vote.

But if McCain is their nominee, that’s it for me. Adios, GOP. And they can give me back my damn money while they’re at it or I might sue them for fraud.

If I get any fundraising mailers from the GOP, I plan to tie a few bricks to their return envelope and tell them to go suck an egg and blow it out their ass.

McCain may be mental but the has the country at heart. Hillary is only interested in carrying out the platform ...the Marxist platform.

On the other hand Shrillary or Obamination of Islam will not only purchase the suitcase nukes with taxpayer money and give them to al-qaeda but they’ll drive them across the Mexican border themselves...again on the taxpayer’s dime.

plus they are liberal where he is conservative

Insane McCain is not a conservative and he has never been a conservative. That statement puts the big BS meter on everything else you have said.

If Conservatives vote for McCain, they’re going to get Hillary in a better suit, and a “Rockefeller Republican Party” in D.C. All at the loss of their principles. Thanks. I’ll pass.

Thank you for so nicely summarizing the problem. Our choice is rancid, foul, poisonous meat or radioactive contaminated meat.

You can’t eat either and survive.

I will back Romney. If he fails to win the nomination, I will no longer care about ‘08. clinton is evil, Obama is an unqualified communist & McCain is just plain nuts. I’ll hunker down and try to survive the next 4 years.

I will pray that in ‘12 a truly conservative leader will emerge for our nation. Hopefully that leader will be leading a restoration of our country, and not just a salvage operation.

Yes, it will likely be the same here for McCain as it was for Bush in 2000. Really, I don’t think McCain would be much worse of a president than Bush has been, and fiscally he’ll almost certainly be better.

Most folks here will eventually come around. Especially if McCain has the brain to pick a good conservative VP.

Don’t you think the War on Terror is the most important issue right now?

The problem with John McCain is that you never know what he's going to do - he's a loose cannon. In fact, I think he's a freaking nutcase! He scares me to death.

As far as the Supreme Court judge issue - he has said that he doesn't like Alito because "he wears his conservatism on his sleeve for everyone to see". He clearly hates conservatives.

I would never stay home & not vote - but I will never vote for John McCain - this man should never be rewarded for his very, VERY bad behaviour.

Well, I don’t have alot of heartburn with that, but what I don’t understand are those that say they’ll actually vote for Hitlery or Obamination of Islam!

How the hell IS THAT sticking to one’s conservative principles? By not voting for McCain is one thing but to actively wreck the country to spitefully prove a point by voting for the hypocrat seems a bit...

nutty!

The statement about McCain being a kook is not reasonable, at least not for holding positions at variance with teh base. I hope McCain does not get teh nomination, but he is poised to do so. Further, polls show him beating teh democrats.

He may still lose, but there is no reason to call him a lunatic. I certainly agreed that he troubles me on several issues.
