For the first time, Chinese official medias boast heatedly that China now can effectly detect&trail F22.

Chinese official medias tends to keep silent to military project.but now, they abnormally openly boast its indigenious AWAC,KJ2000. Some medias even boasts that KJ2000 is the most important defence achievement after A-bomb,nuke sub and Shenzhou spaceship. Almost all members of CPC's politburo ,including president Hu and PremierWen, have sent their congratulations the researchers.

the medias reveal that KJ2000 now are being mass-produced. they also report that KJ2000 can effectively detect&trail normal 4th G aircrafts like F15/flanker/F16 700 KM away. Furthermore,KJ2000 also can effectively detect&trail F22 200+ KM away.

"KJ2000 now completely overtake Russia's A50 and Isreal's Phalcon." the meidas say.

200km is just no good.
This means the F22 can sneak up on their awacs plane and blow it out of the sky.

200km is MIGHTY close.....no time to do anything but say a few quick prayers.

Congrats to China on their new fleet of targets.

How would they know?

they know there is an F22 in the area because the other five AWACS in front of the one doing the detecting all blew up...

Simple - just finish the F22’s with lead paint - the Chicoms will NEVER detect it.

I like that one.

No...They can not.Keep in mind China NEVER tells what its capabilities are. When they do it is in an effort to LOOK like they can. Its their track record.

The way I see it, the Raptor is going to know exactly where the KJ2000 is (as well as any escorts the KJ2000 might have) long before the KJ2000 or those escorts know where the Raptor is, and the speed of the Raptor which can close at 11 miles per minute (minimum, may be faster) without using afterburner, and the AMRAAM which can close on its target at 35 miles per minute (my guess) would make me put my money on the Raptor shooting and escaping.

120 mile detectability by KJ2000 + Raptor Supercruise + AMRAAM + Raptor Passive detection = better situational awareness for the Raptor and flaming KJ2000.

This is not to diminish the capability of the Kj2000 platform

This is a shot across Japan’s bow. They are trying to buy the F22.

Australia is also thinking about it.

They don't need an F-22 to make the claim - they need to be able to detect a target the size of a bird at 200 kilometers - and today that's pretty close.

Maybe a newly hatched hummingbird. The trouble with such a system, even if feasible (and I doubt the power output ability), is that it would have to have such a low threshold that it would process everything (how many birds within 200 kilometers?). No problem, it could then set a Doppler filter, which is normal, but the weakest of signals would fool it. We could literally provide it with hundreds of incoming F-22 signatures. Electronic warfare is generally coupled with stealth, because stealth makes spoofing so much easier.

Sun Tzu's The Art of War says to brag about that which you are weak in, to discourage attack; and to play down your strengths, to encourage enemy complacency.

Ergo, they are sh*tting their pants over the F-22; or they were counting on those 4-recently arrested spies to funnel enough technical details to allow them to develop countermeasures.

We should've nuked Stalin, then China, back in '46.

Cheers!
