The beer companies say “drink responsibly”. Code word for it’s not our fault.

They make more money the more people drink. Public serpents should do something about that.

Budweiser gets rich, people die.

They should make it a law that you can’t drink alcohol in a smoke free bar and then drive home....oh wait.

Apparently clicking on “MSNBC” in the header doesn’t bring up the video, but clicking on “msnbc.msn.com” in the “Read more” line does. Here’s the full URL:

Thanks, Kurt. And speaking of "ping list...."

Huckabee did well IMO, he and Ron Paul were the surprises of this campaign season, both took clear positions, ran unorthodox campaigns, and based their stands on personal convictions. Huck and Paul may represent more rank and file Conservative Republican thought then McCain or Romney did

If nothing else, this election shed a light on the divide in the GOP. The party has no clue what it's about. Limited government? Be all things to all people? They're clueless. Not a surprise that a garden variety lifelong party hack like McCain emerged.

“The longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs the affairs of man [Romans 8:28]. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice [Matthew 10:29], is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it [Psalms 127:1]. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel [Genesis 11:1-9].”

—Benjamin Franklin, arguing the need for prayer at the Constitutional Convention

___________________________________________________________

I think the builders of Babel spirit is getting a modern reenactment. Of course Paul did write ICorinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples (examples): and they are written for our admonition, (warning) upon whom the ends of the world (age) are come. Seems Benjamin Franklin was a student of the Word and had understanding how it still applies even to his day.

For the love of God, I come to FR to converse with adults after a long day of dealing with my kids. This is supposed to be a break from “he hit me” and “she won’t stop touching me”.

Instead, I get you calling Dad and Mom to say “he hit me” and “he won’t stop pinging me”.

Grow up. Or go to bed.

McCain 1205
Romney 255
Huckabee 247

It’s all about who is counting the votes.

Most people count the votes of delegates who were CHOSEN by the candidates, even when those delegates were not specifically required by law to vote a certain way.

And most people count the votes of delegates who indicated firm support for a candidate, even if they were not compelled by law to vote for the candidate.

None of it matters now. Unless you expect us all to rally around Ron Paul to stop McCain, he will earn virtually all the pledged delegates from here on out.

Most of us are still counting Michigan delegates for Romney since he won them, when we are playing this game of “who got the most delegates”. It makes no sense not to count them if we are trying to figure out which candidate WON the most. The fact that Romney gave up his delegates doesn’t mean he didn’t win them.

True. Though I would not be surprised to see Huckabee pick up some more, especially in Mississippi.

Huck and Paul proved that neither could win the nomination. I envy Huckabee supporters, because you can rest easy knowing that YOUR candidate got the chance to go head-to-head for the republican voters, and lost fair and square, so you KNOW he had no chance of winning.

Most of us have to question whether OUR candidates could have won that head-to-head matchup. In Romney’s case, he had already shown he was the 2nd-best candidate, and he should have gotten that chance, but with Paul and Huckabee carrying on their quixotic campaigns we never got to see if he could have beaten McCain head-to-head. Probably he couldn’t, but we’ll never know for certain.

What conservative websites were praising Hucks name?

Why do you think real conservatives don't like Huck? Has Huck or any of his supporters learned nothing from this election cycle?

Oh yeah! Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me. And you are a poopyface and doodyhead, so there!

I have no idea where my kids learned how to say stuff like that.

Now if you’ll excuse me, my mommy (Huck and the Gubmint) told me to put out the cigarette, throw out the beer and go to bed. I have to put my jammies on, pay my taxes and shut up or I get put in time out.

Sadly, no milk and Oreo cookies for me. Childhood obesity epidemic and all. I get skim milk and tofu. Thanks a lot.

Good night.
