Mike was diagnosed with esophageal cancer about 5 weeks ago.
He has finished his first round of chemo, and just started the second.
Many of you have been praying for him behind the scenes.
"I appreciate all the 'incognito' prayers....I know they make a difference."
The first round was rough, the second looks to be rougher.
He and his wife would appreciate your prayer support.
From a fellow cancer survivor I’m sending prayers up for redrock and family.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May you partake of the comfort and strength he affords to us all.
Dear Lord,
Please watch over Mike and his wife as Mike goes through cancer treatments.
You know our needs Lord.
Please guide the doctors, nurses and caregivers as they tend to Mike.
In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray this humble prayer.

Chemo will help, so can radiation... I was diagnosed with it back around Christmas time.
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with a similar cancer almost two years ago. He underwent chemo and it WAS tough. For awhile it looked really bad, but he, his family and friends never gave up. Today he's fully recovered. In fact he got married just two weeks ago.
The power of prayer is...well... sometimes simply amazing.
My family will keep redrock in our prayers.

Thank You for the beloved husband who penned this Prayer for his wife, Patsy. Thank You that he faithfully prayed unto the time of her return to vibrant health.

HEALING CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that Your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by my confession, I apply Your Word to our body by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made us and we are a marvelous creation.
I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus’ name.
I speak to our body today and declare that we have authority over it. I command it to receive the Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sickness and took our infirmities. Heavenly Father, I thank you that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and makes alive our mortal body.
I speak to our immune system and command it to line up with the Word of God. Our immune system will destroy sickness and disease in our body and perform its job, for this is what You created it to do. I thank you, Father, that every cell in our body responds to Your Word. Your Word permeates our body from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet. I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in us. Psalm 103:3 declares that You, Father, forgave all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Father, that is Your confession and I make it my confession, also. We don't judge by the sight of our eyes; we judge by Your Living Word. It is Your Word that lives in us and brings health and healing to every part of our body.
Heavenly Father, I rejoice at Your promise of divine health. You said it and I believe it. Today I declare that we will see Your promise of healing manifest in our body.
Healing is ours because Jesus paid the price two thousand years ago. God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we could experience life on God's terms. His abundant life is manifesting in us. Make us whole ~ body, soul, and spirit. Amen ...
Psalm 118:17-18 ~ “I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me sorely, but he has not given me over to death.”

Heavenly Father,
I humbly ask that you would heal redrock of his cancer. Please make the chemo work as it should by wiping out all of the cancer and not letting it return anywhere in this man’s body. Please keep him from getting sick from the chemo and give his body and mind rest. Please give him Your peace that passes all understanding as well as his family.

A family friend had surgery and chemo over 10 years ago for esophageal cancer, he’s still kicking.

He’s one of the real good guys, Barb and I met him and his wonderful family in Jarbidge, back in 2000.
He sure is one of the good guys. Tonkin was so pleased when Mike and his family stopped in for visis.
