Wake up Conservative Base!

Posted on 05/10/2008 9:11:06 AM PDT by RonnieFan

All indications are the Democrats will pick up seats in both the House and Senate, with the Senate likely being a couple of RHINOs away from the magic 60. McCain is no Reagan but he's the only thing standing in the way of the most liberal Senator in Senate becoming President with a clear majority in Congress and at a critical time with decisions to be made on the war on terror, the war in Iraq, heath care, taxes, illegal immigration and likely the Supreme Court.

Sometimes you do have to pick the lesser of two evils. This is one of them. I am fully aware that I'll be let down by McCain on some key issues but I know I'll be let down on all of them if Obama is President.

Crazy. The world is about to explode. There won’t be an American System of Government again for a long time. War Powers Acts will rule. You’re going to have Obama for a dictator? Sorry, I’ll take McQueeg. As weird as the ole boy is ... he’s an American. Obama is a “World Citizen”.

I have studied McCain for years dreading this day. It is entirely possible McCain could go nuclear in a temper tantrum. How do you feel about what is left then?

I'll take my chances. I refuse to live in fear of "what if's".

Since Roberts became Chief Justice, most of the issues have gone 6-5 on conservative issues.

OK I'll try this again: as fast as you can, name the 11 Supreme Court Justices.

:-)

As far as I’m concerned Conservatives need to hold or ground and make McCain come to us by crossing over from the dark side.

For years we conservatives have wondered just how year after year blacks voted for the democrats when we are no different and still hold our nose and get at best crumbs.

I say to all conservatives it is time to stand on our principles, trust in our God and not enable the socialists in the Republican Party.

We are our own base and have no need for John McCain and his Socialist pals.

He said recently that they don’t need our votes.

I’m okay with that, but they aren’t and that is why they are showing up here.

John McCain if you want my vote come back to the ligjt and get it.

I understand McCain is trying to get the New Online Obfuscation Bill ("NOOB") through Congress. Among many provisions, this legislation would make it illegal for political web sites to reveal the sign-on dates of members within 180 days of elections, thus permitting party operatives who've had no interest in conservative causes for many years to sign onto FRee Republic and other conservative forums without having their credibility challenged.

Sadly, this legislation is unlikely to make it through the Congress in time to materially affect the outcome of the election. Therefore, as a KKKapitalist Pig, first and foremost, I would be willing to lend my name and sign-on date to McCain operatives for the maximum FEC campaign contribution of $2000 per posting.

For additional fees for consulting services, I will be willing to provide information to Republican Party hacks concerning what an actual conservative position is on a given issue. I know this is an area -- like Arabic or Farsi speakers at CIA -- where you have problems. I was not educated in the American public school system and so have excellent analytical and writing skills, and have actually read the Constitution of the United States of America, the Federalist, and the Declaration of Independence; documents with which I know the McCain camp has struggled, particularly since the South Carolina Primary of 2000.

This is a serious (series) offer, only serious offers in reply, please, in confidence via FReepmail.

FRegards, FRed.

I’m sorry, but anything that even suggests that McNasty will come over to our side is complete fantasy. (No offense intended)

He simply has demonstrated that his entire career from day one, going back to his days in the Military Academy and his youth. HE was known as McNasty back then for good reason.

If he gets in, forget him paying us any favors or showing loyalty to those who supported him when he most needed it. He will kick dirt in our faces and pander to his Liberal tendencies and comrades, the Democrats.

First you tell us to wake up.

Then you tell us to vote for McCain.

Do you have any idea how stupid that is?

We must all act as one and hold our ground, he will move or his bid will fail.

Even if McWhackJob was to start to move to the right could conservatives trust him? NO! they couldn't. In any event you make some good points. Thanx.

Note also that aspects of the liberal agenda are very difficult to undo once they have been established. If a form of national healthcare is implemented, for example, as a practical matter there is no undoing it later on under a GOP admin and/or GOP congress.

Once people get their MTV, they don’t give it up.

Oh, but you will take the backstabbing, temper driven, small minded, womanizing, conservative hating McCain over the “unknown” Obama? Yea that works.

McCain is not the best of three bad choices he is a choice with a track record of being DELIBERTALY hostile to conservatives. I live to piss on his grave and the grave of Jane Fonda.

Spoken like a true veteran. I must agree with the expressed sentiments wholeheartedly. Viet Nam 70-71.
