Obama Campaign Threatens Jihad Against TV Stations That Air Weathermen Ad
Monday, August 25, 2008 | Kristinn

The campaign of Democratic presidential nominee in waiting Barack Obama is threatening TV stations that dare to run a controversial ad that questions Obama's friendship with unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers.

Politico quotes an Obama aide as saying this afternoon, "The Obama campaign plans to punish the stations that air the ad financially, organizing his supporters to target the stations that air it and their advertisers."

Politico has posted copies of letters the Obama campaign has sent to station managers and a letter the campaign has sent to the Department of Justice demanding a criminal investigation of the group that is running the ads, American Issues Project.

At the same time, the Obama campaign has released an ad respoonding to the Weathermen ad claiming Ayers' acts of terrorism happened when Obama was a child and that he has denounced the actions of Ayers.

The Obama campaign claims its supporters have sent 93,000 e-mails to the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is airing the Weathermen ad. Sinclair faced similar threats in 2004 when it announced plans to air a critical documentary about John Kerry.

The Obama campaign is unleashing an unprecedented attack against First Amendment rights personally directed by a leading presidential candidate. Should he become president and actually have the power to carry out these threats, the Nation will be pushed to a perilous precipice.

you have to ask, why wouldn’t the lawyer make the case against within the letter rather than threatening to do it later? he couldn’t refute anything in the first attempt?

wouldn’t this be a waste of a stamp, paper, and extra fuel to deliver this letter? hardly green.

“The fact that [Obama] is launching his own convention by defending his long association with a man who says he didn't bomb enough U.S. targets tells us more about Barack Obama than any of tonight's speeches will,” said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers.

Well said, Mr. Rogers.

If only W had been so aggressive in defending 2000/2004 Gore/Kerry charges, we might not have had fingernail-biting finishes.

“You were an unknown when you were hiding inside your Pandora’s box - now all the bad demons you possess are coming out. Just as with all dictators, your first target is to do away with anyone’s right to criticize you, your family, your associates - or to question your past and present actions and affiliations. Sounds pretty scary to most people.’

Like I wrote on another Obama brownshirt thread:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2067776/posts?q=1&;page=1

Pandora’s Box is a very apt symbol for what is going on. Don’t forget that ‘Hope’ was all that was left in that box and what an ironic choice for that to be Obama’s theme....lol

How dare Sinclair!

Air a truthful video ad about our sacred cow?

Ayers-Obama-University of Illinois, mentorship, and to the Obama campaign,it is "denounceable"?

Its interesting how many times the Obama campaign has had to create its own version of history, and the rewriting of history is a very well known fascist pre-occupation.

Yes , these my FRiends are liberal socialist fascists. Johnah Goldman warned us about them in his recently published book.

Photobucket

And everyday, the Obama campaign does one more thing to make Jonah Goldman's work more than true.

The TV stations are just running legal campaign ads and he issues a Fatwa. What does the Imam think this country is, Iran?

I think that may very well be a good "if." John McCain, it appears, knows how to contend. (Wonder where he might have learned such a thing? ;-)

Actually, I was thinking of the “Tar Baby”(nothing racist intended)! Every time the Brer Rabbit hit the Tar baby, he got stuck! Of course the other characters are in the bushes laughing to themselves!

Pretty soon, he was all stuck up in the tar on the Tar Baby, and couldn’t get free! That’s Obama and his campaign, just kicking at that Tar Baby, trying to get it to say something, and getting angrier and angrier. They also get themselves more and more stuck in the tar!

Jihad in the Title is very appropriate...Regarding the major Obama supporters:

It’s difficult to imagine they are so blatantly antiAmerican!

See this :

Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left

And a review:

**********************************

By  Kat Bakhu (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover)
I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.

It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.

Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.

This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.

Time to “American Issues” Obama .. and support them.

I’d like to know how it is that THEY aren’t trying to subvert 1st amendment rights.

****

More background on the rights and lives they took and the damage they did when they felt entitled to rage against their country:

Obama Campaign Launches Desperate, Misleading Response to Ayers Ad
August 25, 2008

New Obama ad fails to dispute a single fact about relationship with domestic terrorist, William Ayers

Washington, DC – August 25, 2008 – The Obama campaign has launched a new ad that fails to dispute a single fact in the American Issues Project’s initial ad questioning Barack Obama’s relationship with admitted domestic terrorist, William Ayers.

“This response ad is more smoke and mirrors from a candidate desperate to obscure his long standing relationship with admitted domestic terrorist William Ayers,” said Ed Martin, American Issues Project’s president.

“Senator Obama is pretending to barely know the man who hosted the launch of his political career and with whom he has worked for years to advance a liberal agenda.”

Sen. Obama has defended his friend Ayers as “respectable”and “mainstream,” despite the fact that Ayers has continued to trumpet his role in the Weather Underground bombings.

On September 11th, 2001, the New York Times reported him saying, “I don’t regret setting bombs … I feel we didn’t do enough.’’

The Obama campaign’s response comes one day before the University of Illinois at Chicago is set to release the records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Ayers whose board Obama chaired.

There cords are expected to shine new light on the relationship between Ayers and Obama.

The American Issues Project’s ad began airing Thursday, August 21, and will continue through the Democratic Convention. An electronic version of the ad and full documentation of all statements made are available at American Issues Project’s website:

http://www.americanissuesproject.org.
