JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The United States will not permit Israel to attack Iran's nuclear program as long as American troops are stationed in Iraq, an Israeli television report quoting unnamed diplomatic sources said on Monday.
An Israeli official accompanying Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on a visit to Moscow declined to comment on the report. Olmert flew to Moscow to press Russia not to sell advanced missiles and weapons technology to Iran and Syria

This assures Iran the time to have the bomb. Russia and Pakistan will see they get what they need. Maybe the next president will be the one with cajones.

Israel under the present Government would not attack Iran anyway.

Not even after Tel Aviv is reduced to radioactive rubble. Remember, according to the World and second to America, Israel is the cause of all the problems in the world.

Since when do we tell a sovereign nation whether they can protect themselves or not? I guarantee you that if Israel feels that it is under strong threat, they will do whatever they think is appropriate to save themselves. Easier to apologize then ask permission. How do we not allow the Israelis to protect their homeland. :-(

Just like the Brits during the 1940s... Our leaders will continue to hold Israel back and push the Jewish people to shrink their security buffer areas, until the Arabs and Persians are ready for a high-intensity attack.
Most Americans Support Right of Jews to Live and Build in Judea-Samaria

"
By a margin of nearly five to one, Americans oppose the Bush administration's demand to halt all further Jewish construction in Judea-Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza . . . The poll, carried out by John McLaughlin & Associates, surveyed a scientific sample of 1,000 American adults on May 21, 2003.
And the most influential and proud constituents for our leaders in both political parties have made it perfectly clear that they don't need our votes.

Commencement Address at Boston College (Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Boston, Massachusetts, May 22, 2006.
US Department of State)
Excerpts:
As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.

"its a global village"
Yes, exactly. In the near future, the global state may not own all of the businesses, but each business will probably have to agree with the prevalent, actual (not as propagandized) political and social philosophy. It's getting to be more that way every year--especially for political publications.
To all:
Maybe one of you bright comment writers out there can tell me as to which political system that kind of practice belongs to. [Hint: same system Russia is using now.]

Believe me the Israelis are watching this election very closely! The day they are convinced that Barack Hussein Obama is going to win the election is the day the go button will be pushed to take out Iran's nuclear facilities. They are not going to wait for a man they believe to be closely allied with radical Muslims to become our Commander and Chief before taking action.
Look at BO’s support of Kenya's Raila Odinga to see a recent example of BO’s support of a radical communist muslim. BO went to Kenya on the taxpayers dime to try and get his cousin the radical communist elected. Raila Odinga was directly responsible for the murder of hundreds of people after he lost the election. BO continued to support his East German educated communist radical Muslim cousin even after he resorted to genocide.
The Israelis will not wait for BO to become our Commander and Chief before taking action.

I think the reality is that Israel really isn't a sovereign state. We exert so much influence on Israel they could almost be the 51st state.
The ties that bind our two nations are that close. How may citizens of Israel are also US citizens and/or came from America? How much funding comes from the USA? How close are our business ties?
With all that in mind, we are fools for not giving them the green light. If they go down, so does a part of us.
