Several on FR have suggested that we help Joe the Plumber with his back taxes. I did some research and it seems he lives close to the Huntington Bank Spring Meadows Branch,
7203 Airport Highway
Holland, oh 43528-7829
Phone: (419) 254-7023
I spoke with a very nice lady there who thought I was joking about opening an account for Joe to help him with his back taxes.
What we need is for someone with a registered charity in Ohio or some registered business to open an account for Joe (real name: Samuel J. Wurzelbacher) After it is open please post the routing and account info so we can transfer money in.
We will then need to let Joe know and arrange access for him. Go Joe the Plumber the FReepers have your back.
Ping me when ya have it PLEASE !
wouldn’t setting up a paypal account be more productive?
Why can’t we just send our money straight to him?
Let me know when we can actually help with his taxes.
Paypal would be the way to go.
Joe’s not looking for a handout. Don’t insult him.
We should be able to send money directly to him. Anyone can give anyone a gift for any reason, so long as it doesn’t exceed gift limits (which I believe are around $12,000 per donor). After that, gift taxes kick in, so keep it smaller than the max.
He’s going to need a lawyer.
The left will throw everything they can at him, backed by the money of ACORN and the 0bama campaign, if not Soros himself.
So that’s what happens in the once-great USA! You say something that the establishment doesn’t like, and they look into their “wanted” files to get something on you. Let’s see now if they try to get him for not paying parking tickets. Let’s see if the IRS audits him.
The American media is 100% marxist.
put me on the ping list!
Apparently, he’s lost his job for speaking out:

With all due respect, he may appreciate the support, financial or otherwise.
Absolutely. You lose a huge percentage of potential donors if they have to sit down, write a check, address an envelope, put a stamp on it and mail it.
A paypal account is the only way to go. However paypal asks that you seek advance permission for this sort of thing.
He will bigtime need legel advice. Also I predict this will backfire on those libs factions that you have mentioned.
I would be happy to accept any donations for Joe, transfer them to my firm's trust account and then be sure that he receives them. Just say the word and I will share my PayPal account info.

Couldn’t a trusted Freeper “own” the account and when you are done rasing funds, you could directly pay Joe?

I don’t think keeping it below $12k is a real problem. If someone has an issue keeping gifts below $12k, I am in Ohio and will accept any overflow. ;)
