In response to the letter the Obama camp sent to the Justice Department, the McCain campaign has released this statement:
"After a week of shifting stories and clumsy corrections regarding Barack Obama's connections to ACORN, the Obama campaign resorted to their now-customary heavy handed tactic of attempting to criminalize political discourse. Today's outrageous letter to Attorney General Mukasey and Special Prosecutor Dannehy at the Justice Department asking for a special prosecutor to investigate Senator McCain and Governor Palin's public statements about ACORN's record of fraudulent voter registrations (including in this week's Presidential debate) is absurd. It is a typical time-worn Washington attempt to criminalize political differences. For someone who promises 'change,' it is certainly only more of the same.
"The letter's request that the Department of Justice investigate 'recent partisan Republican activities throughout the country' is almost a parody of the Obama campaign's attempt to intimidate their political opponents. In case Sen. Obama's lawyer did not notice, we are in the midst of a political campaign, not a coronation, and the alleged criminal activity he calls 'recent partisan Republican activities' are what the rest of us call campaign speeches and debates. All of this is unfortunately reminiscent of the Obama campaign's recent creation of a 'truth squad' of Missouri prosecutors and sheriffs to 'target' people who criticize Sen. Obama. Rest assured that, despite these threats, the McCain-Palin campaign will continue to address the serious issue of voter registration fraud by ACORN and other partisan groups, and compliance by states with the Help America Vote Act's requirement of matching new voter registrations with state data bases to preve nt voter fraud."
Welcome to the USSR comrades!
Pity that because of the propagandists in the enemedia, no one will ever hear of this response or the excellent points it makes.
Its not like McCain can buy a half hour of TV time and take it directly to the people or anything like that.
God help us - we are in need of a miracle, and if this man wins, we are all in danger.
I don't know about that considering we have a armed public for the most part.
Don't confuse communists with the usefull idiots who are voting for "change" aka Obama. Unfortunately, many dyed in the wool US communists (at least the ones I know) tend to be well armed also. Remember the Weather Underground, Black Panthers, and Symbionese Liberation Army? Same violent anarchists today, different names.
Yeah, its discouraging to say the least. Makes me sick to think of him winning. To think his supporters thought Bush was a threat. It boggles the mind.
Obama the Stalinist.
Until the 2nd Amendmen is “amended” to be BB guns and slingshots.
Progressive thought will invite us to worship at the mosque of our choice and will provide free health care for 80% of our taxable income.
Not voting, or voting third party (however attractive) is not really an option. The consequences of the Marxists controlling both White house and Congress, both branches, is too dangerous to contemplate. They could pass anything they want with a court to back them up. "Welcome to the U.S.S.R., Hitler, Chairman Mao, and Cambodia" is not an exaggeration.
"God help us" yes, but it is also possible that He is judging us. He does not let unrepentant wickedness go on unchecked. Self-destruction is part of the folly of unrepentant sin.
Then that's the time you give your local police a call that your house has been broken into and all of your weapons along with ammunition have been stolen.
McCain should seize the moment And Go before the National Press Club and indict Obama on several counts in a gravely serious speech. Let the national media react. If, as anticipated, they react in support of Obama, the matter is nevertheless before the public and Obama is on the defensive. If, perchance, they react in favor of McCain's position, loose the hounds! Either way the soundbites will be valuable.
McCain can do this out of concern for the Constitution and the principle of free speech and his concern as a patriot who has been tortured for his country and so avoid inevitable cries that he is whining.
(C word being COMMUNIST)
That kind of a preemptive strike might be wise.
BTW, I was being sarcastic toward the end of my last series of comments and didn’t designate the comments that way. For instance, I hope you don’t think that I am under the impression that the MSM just presents the fact as news.
You take care.
For weeks now, the socialist-communist party (aka democrats) talking points have been, "Let us drop the Ayers, Acorn, etc. subject, and let "us" concentrate and debate the real issues"...economy, health care, on and on ad nauseum.
