Barack Obama's support from backers of Hillary Rodham Clinton is stuck smack whwre it was in June, a poll showed Tuesday, a stunning lack of progress that is weakening with members of the Democratic Party in the close presidential race.

An Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll shows that among adults who backed his rival during their bitter primary campaign percent now support Obama. That is the same percentage who said so in June...

I told you this.

Only 58% of those who voted for Hillary support Obama.

28% have said that they will vote for McCain.

If the still undecided (14%) break evenly, McCain will get 35% of Hillary voters. Since 18 million voted for Hillary in the primaries, that comes to about 6 million+ Hillary supporters voting for McCain.

The MSM finally told the truth about Obama only being up by 4% in PA, and you can bet, too, that Obama is not ahead in FL, OH, IN, VA, NC, MO, CO and NV.

The MSM has tried to compensate for Hillary voters (and other factors) by skewing the polls.

Your analysis makes sense to me but I think it will come out to about 3 million votes for McCain and many more not voting for either. Either way, it is enough to offset or surpass any other advantages that Barry might have.

Our conservative radio station here in Denver today played a guy from the Quinnipiac poll stating it was over as Obama was up by 12%. I knew it to be a bunch of BS!

The anger that still lingers from Hillary getting shafted like she did will bring the Hillary supporters out in droves to vote for McCain.

Tie this in with Repubs coming out in full force - if they will just get out there and vote - means big trouble for Obama on Nov 4th, 2008.

Among those, though, who shifted to supporting Obama - their support for him is soft.

My daughter believes that most of them will not be able to pull the lever for a Republican once they’re behind that curtain.

You can bet that way over 3 million will show up to vote for McCain.

It said something like Hillary’s supporters are still stuck at a support level for Obama as they were in June (2008).

Gee I thought they reconciled? LOL! Obama and his thugs in ACORN treated Hillary and her voters in a horrible manner. I may not like Hillary but she was legally on the ballot and her supporters had a right to a fair election.

My hope is McCain will win, which I think will happen, and after the election we and the PUMAs will work together to make sure ACORN is shut down, investigated, people indicted, money cut off and maybe even indict Obama for his involvement with ACORN. .

I guess I'm to believe the Post by one of the PUMAS who said that Randell made a hastily call to the EMPEROR and told him to get his butt down to PA cause he was only a few pts ahead! I guess the PUMA post WAS legitimate and on the mark after all! WOW! Think I'll go back and read the other STUFF they have posted. I didn't believe them at first now I'm converted! THEY were the first one to sound the alarm on THE KINGS sinking ship in PA!!

If this works out, we need to declare Wednesday November 5, 2008 “National Kiss a PUMA Day”. I may have to limit my participation to a hug, but I know quite a few PUMAs who deserve recognition for their part in saving the country.

Puhleeze.

From June to September, 2008: Obama’s support among Hillary voters was unchanged.

Obama can’t undo that from late September to late October. Just 1 month.

It’s too late for him to bring them on board.

Obama supporters fear the Hillary voters who won’t vote for him, which is why they try to blunt any mention of what I am mentioning.

Any talk of this anywhwre on the net (including FR), and Obama supporters flood those borads trying to kill the talk about it.

Honestly, I really think it will be higher than 3 mill. There are so many dems working in Victory offices here in Broward co FL that you would not even believe it. Add to that the Hillbuzz, Hillaryclintonforum, Texasdarlin, Pumapac, and other puma sites with their huge support and I think you have a bunch of folks who are seriously pizzed off about the perceived hijacking of the party of FDR and JFK.

You may be right that some of them will not vote or will vote a protest third party vote. But I think that when the trashing of Palin began, it was the trashing of Hillary all over again to them. They understand better than anyone that Obama hates women. Heck his mother abandoned him for all intents and purposes, so I suppose that less than a normal reaction to strong women might be expected. He needs pity and prayer, not the oval office.

Palin is drawing huge crowds. Six million Hillary voters are voting for McCain. Obama is ahead in the polls? From where are they manufacturing all his votes from. I may believe it on Nov. 5th but I don't right now. Voting for McCain/Palin on Tuesday and bringing a bunch of votes with me.

Your daughter may be correct to some degree but I know of many Democrats that have told me there is no way that they will ever vote for Obama. They are all voting McCain/Palin.

Perhaps the over sampling of dems in the polls was to hide this lack of unity with the dems.

But if about 6-7 mil PUMA’s don’t show up or vote for McCain, Hussein will not come close to 80 percent of dem turnout. That is another flaw in all of these polls. Hussein getting about 87-89 percent of dems. If the PUMA factor is in force, he probably will not get 80 %.

Lastly, the race is close now. PUMA’s now know that their collective votes could help defeat Hussein. That could easily get those who were not going to vote to act.

This, along with the factor that most undecideds usually go to the rep. will mean that McCain will win despite possible voter fraud by ACORN.
