Church Vandalized With 'No On 8' Tags
Messages Spray-Painted On Walkways At Orangevale Chapel
ORANGEVALE, Calif. -- A Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel was tagged by vandals who are apparent opponents of a same-sex marriage ban that voters recently passed.
The church's main sign was tagged with a "No on 8" message, as were several walkways. A message that said "hypocrites" was also painted on the property.
"It is evident that the election results for the constitutional marriage amendment will not mean an end to the debate over same-sex marriage in this state, or our country," regional church spokeswoman Lisa West said in a statement. "We hope that now and in the future all parties involved in this issue will act in a spirit of mutual respect and civility toward those with a different position."
Logan Jackson, a member of the church who said he's not speaking on its behalf, called the vandalism "saddening."
California voters approved Proposition 8, a ban on same-sex marriage, on Tuesday.
The outcome has sparked protests across the state from those who opposed the measure, including a massive demonstration in front of a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The church encouraged its members to work to pass California's Proposition 8 by volunteering their time and money for the campaign. Thousands of Mormons worked as grassroots volunteers and gave tens of millions of dollars to the campaign.
Church officials said members were encouraged to support the ban but deny making any institutional donations.
The chapel is on the 7900 block of Hazel Avenue.

I am so sick of these maggot faggots being in my face, I’d like to take action against them. They need to have their property defaced and vandalized, their church services/parties/bars/bath houses interrupted by freaks in costumes, lampooned and ridiculed. They are disgusting, vile people. I had no problem with them when they quietly went about their lives and minded their own business. I didn’t speak ill of them and they didn’t repulse me. I had a couple friends in the late ‘70s - early ‘80s who were homosexuals, although not the kind who act really obnoxious. They were nice. In fact, they were both conservative Repubs.
But now they all just repulse me and I’m sick of them. They would have had a lot more sympathy from me if they didn’t behave the way they do and have an agenda to spread their filth to the kids.

These protesters are so full of hate and jealousy towards couples who live a normal married life with children. They’re depraved, and demoralizing our society with their deviant behavior which they will go to extremes to include [normalize their deviant behavior, seek approval] in the laws and in the constitutions of our state govt. Heresy! They’re bully behaviors and intimidation tactics are sickening and I have lost total respect for their cause!

And as far as "debate" goes, yes it is over. It was over before Prop. 8 was drafted and put on the ballot. That's the order of democracy. marriage is a union between one man and one woman, period. It isn't something that "evolved" from tribal rituals, and it isn't something that "existed before the bible was written" as butt buddies like argue. It isn't something that is just as much a "right" for two people of the same sex who "love" one another as it is for "straights".
Marriage, and the meaning of marriage was established from the very beginning with the creation of Man.
Marriage was never just a human contract, it was instituted by God with Adam and Eve. One man and One Woman, for life. The coming together of one man and one woman to complete each other, and begin again the cycle of life. Fags need to get over it. "love" even if that's what they feel for each other, does not mean the next logical step is to marry each other. There is nothing to complete. Does a person who loves a lot of people need to marry them all? Of course not. We are all supposed to love one another. But shouldn't kindle sexual desires, especially with those of the same sex. Queers are confusing lust with love. They are confusing a lust to have perverted deviant sexual relations with another man with Love. That isn't love. That is mental illness. They weren't "born that way". They developed that way because something wasn't right, or something happened during that crucial period in early development.
Regardless of whatever caused this deviant behavior and lust for unnatural, disgusting sexual acts, that is not "love", and the kind of love between people of the same sex, usually a result of a long term friendships within a community network and relatives isn't what marriage was meant for either.
Marriage is God’s established rule of order.
