Just throwing out a handful of ideas for discussion:
- How to develop local chapters/conservative grassroots groups.
- Develop a conservative platform and a plan for recruiting, training, supporting and electing conservative candidates.
- Develop ideas for building an effective nationwide conservative grassroots network.
- How to combat the Fairness Doctrine? Install offshore servers? Private BBS? Email/Phone/Fax lists? Shortwave radio? Local/personal networking?
- Working with other conservative groups, political parties?
- Would a FReeper PAC be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- Would a FReeper 527 organization be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- How to infiltrate/influence local political organizations?
- Select and fund delegates for a national convention should our membership decide one is needed.

I’m not too far from you. I’m in Antigo. LR is in the Wausau area, I believe. There are quite a few in Green Bay and Appleton. I think we could find a convenient meeting place.

This will take patriots to put aside differences and work for the good of this country. All too often we fight amongst ourselves over. We throw the baby out with the bathwater when we disagree with someone over an issue.
Then there are the armchair types who think that they are above getting down in the trenches. They think that merely posting, blogging, occasionally calling, and sending financial donations the only necessity. We need to use Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” back on the Left, the same way the firefighter uses a backfire. I’ve pleaded with FReepers to help us out at our Support the troops rallies, and have gotten no real response. It’s all blah, blah, blah. There may only be one person there in Studio City, CA on Friday night to take on the Lefties, but we don’t back down!

I suggest forming a group along the lines of the ACLU model called something like "American Citizens Against Socialism".
We can get our own lawyers stirring up trouble, make appearances on the talking heads shows, out socialists, name a socialist crook of the week, form our own Unamerican Activities Committee, etc.
It could be an offshoot of FR or something completely unrelated.
Imagine if we could get a million people contributing a dollar a week with the proceeds going to run TV ads denouncing socialists in the government by name. Bypass the press and the DC politicians, expose the media outlets who refuse to run our ads as propagandists for the socialist Administration, etc.
