This is old. No, she does not say he was born in Kenya.

Sorry, your take on this is wrong.
There are no facts to back up your ideas.

I do think that Obama is in big trouble, on this issue, if he was NOT born on US soil, as his mother was not old enough to automatically pass along citizenship.

However, there is NO requirement that both parents needed to be US citizens.

So what?
The 14th Amendment was written to overturn Dred Scott, NOT to determine qualifications for POTUS!

“Natural Born Citizenship” means that YOU HAD TO BE A CITIZEN AT THE MOMENT OF BIRTH -—
In other words, citizenship can not be granted by naturalization or legislative act, at any time AFTER birth!

Stop fantasizing, he was born in Hawaii.

I'm probably not the first person on this thread to challenge you to prove that assertion. So - where's your proof?

So, if you are born in the US or on US soil you are an American citizen at birth?

You asked — So, if you are born in the US or on US soil you are an American citizen at birth?

Ummm..., they don’t use the term “anchor baby” for nothing... LOL...

Goes to my question … are anchor babies considered American citizens and eligible to be POTUS someday?

“What does it matter where he was born? If his mother was a U.S. citizen, he is also, unless someone can show me otherwise.”

She was under age and in Hawaii at that time didn’t qualify as a citizen which makes him a Kenyan!!!!

Well, the way I think about it, I would say yes — but you know that’s never going to settle the issue with some here... LOL..

For them (some here), it will take the Supreme Court to decide on it. BUT, look out! — if the Supreme Court decides the wrong way — they will tell you that the Supreme Court is corrupt, as a result... :-)

In the end, you’ll never really “settle it” in those certain people’s minds — no matter what. Just go on with your life and ignore them.

“Stop fantasizing, he was born in Hawaii.”

Wrong, he only has a registration of birth and was flown with his mother to Hawaii from Kenya 3 days after he was born because they wouldn’t let her on an airplane because she was so close to giving birth.

Aloha JJ!
br>This came out months ago....before Obama was sworn in.

Too bad Kenyan grandma wasn't subpoenaed as a material witness in any of the law suits challenging his nationality; but then neither was the late Madalyn Dunham, conveniently.

We're doing everything we can to avoid a Constitutional Crisis in the midst of one. Hell.....we're even allowing funding to ACORN to perpetuate the myth and suppress any investigation and discovery.

But on the bright side, traffic violations are still adjudicated in less than 60 days and taxes (deducted and prepaid) are still due on the Ides of April. Fines, fees and tributes to our elected governance and their lackeys. There could be a tax revolt next week but that would create another Constitutional Crisis, illegal seizure of property and assets by the federal gov't. but then we'd have come full circle.

We've paid for this....and now are paying the price.

Thank you for the friendly dialog. You have given me much to think about and research. As a retired medico, I’m sometimes baffled by the political things that are happening around me and look to FR and its members to help me understand. Again, thank you.

“we've elected a foreigner...one who doesn't like Americans.”

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I believe that you and I may have had disagreements before. If so, it's of no consequence, I'm glad that we agree on this one point.

Obama is a foreigner.

You’re welcome..., but, just realize that Free Republic is just as polarized as it seems to be “outside”, too...

Face it, I haven’t found anyone who agrees with me all the time, and I don’t agree with them all the time, either.... :-)

In fact, I get called a lot of names by other FReepers, too... LOL... [in fact, just as I’m composing this, someone is calling me a name, right this very second, no kidding..., I just saw it... ]

The only thing you can do is simply look at the reasoning that some give and see if it makes sense. A lot of it (in my way of thinking) is absolutely *baloney* — but that’s the way it goes... Others, though, do have some good information...

By the way, to see what some FReepers contributed for me, today — see this list that I compiled today, with the help of a bunch of other FReepers...
