Actually, the Evos are going nowhere in science circles, as virtually every aspect of Darwood’s fanciful creation myth is being falsified by modern science. The HMS Creation, on the other hand, is standing tall and will continue to fire broadsides at the badly damaged HMS Beagle until it passes under the massive waves of scientific falsification (not to mention public repudiation).

Keep dreaming. So far ID is still preaching to the choir. Creation will only succeed if the choir uses political muscle to force out Evolution. When you do that you're no longer talking about science, just as the political muscle forcing Global Warming makes it extremely suspect.
A philosopher who recently underwent a religious conversion is not a compelling argument for scientific validity. It in fact underscores the truth that ID is about religion, not science.

Such is expected from a representative of Rome. Look at Notre Dame, Boston College, and most of the great bastions of this organization.
Hold its own? Worldwide, even without the backing of our government, Evolution is the premier theory in Biology of how life changes.
Moreover the field of Biology has never been more productive in terms of information and application.
Meanwhile “creation science” is of absolutely no practical use to anybody.

That’s a laugh. The only reason why Evolution has survived till now is precisely because of the very political muscle you decry with respect to global warming. The fact that you can’t see it suggests you are as blind as a bat!
So far as I know he has not become 'religious' beyond the basic deism implied by ID. And his reasoning was strictly scientific. As a leading atheist academic for decades he was very familiar with the now-wanting arguments for evolutionism.
You don't have any real data that ID is failing to make inroads in the sciences, I would point out. I suspect it is the same as was the case in Darwin's day: few minds were changes among the older folks, but the real action was among the youths. A new generation grew up believing in evolution, just as poll data suggests a new generation is growing up now disbelieving in it. It's interesting that this is coinciding with a drop in religious commitment, which blows away the idea that skepticism towards evolution is based on religious commitments.

The productive fields of biology have nothing to do with Darwood’s fanciful creation myth. Although, I have noticed that God’s creation forces productive scientists to use the language of design. This reality has so enraged Richard Darwkins that he’s trying to invent a whole new vocabulary so scientists can avoid using the language of design when they report on God’s creation!
