If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

B/S. He’s still bragging about his socialist RomneyCare. He’s Kennedy’s lap dog.

If McCain is Kennedy's “lapdog”, what do you call Juan McPain then? The Kennedy/McPain shamnesty bill says “Hello”.

What triggered this?

A little birdie told me Romney’s laying the groundwork to take over the GOP:

If so, bye bye GOP!

This does not concern Romney, but in listening to Rush it seems he was giving a strong, but subtle, endorsement for Palin. He did not mention names of course, but he kept on saying the Pubs need a strong voice, someone w/conviction...and at the end he quoted Al Davis, “just win baby” and the second time he said it he emphasized ‘baby’ in the way we(men) might refer to a babe,, as in ‘baby you look great!”

Perhaps I’m reading into it..I don’t know. But I think Rushbo wants a nominee all but sewn up BEFORE the primary and that nominee is is Palin.

And it’s fine with me.

I’ve never been a Romeny fan. No more RINOs. We need a conservative on the (TOP OF THE) ticket next time around.

Out of curiosity, what triggered this? Did Romney do something today?

I think it was right about here. Republicans, including Romney, launch new [RINO] group

brilliant. so... instead of supporting romney, you support mccain. and yet again, the republican party had to learn that America does not vote for old and crusty. period. palin is the only thing that brought out the voters, not mccain.

so, due to thinking like yours, we have 4 years of 0bama to endure. brilliant. if you were concerned romney would be to close to center, you could relax knowing the dems and the right would oppose him constantly.

and here comes 2012. palin... definitely should be there. who else? no to romney? who’s left? jindahl? please. got anyone else? fred? he phoned in his last attempt, he won’t even dial the number for 2012.

if you don’t watch it, we’ll end up with 0bama again in 2012... and then its all over (just ask the aztecs)

Rush loves her like we do. The only negative(s) about Sarah are the ones libtards, libtard media and bitter rinos are trying to make us believe. The sad part is I’ve come across a number of pubs that fall for it, hook line and sinker.

Even here on FR.

Now, who do you think will be a good conservative candidate that has a chance to win? Who can we really get behind?

I'm hoping JimRob plans not to answer, and it looks like that's what will happen. He may have decided that it's not appropriate or productive to name his top choice or his top three, although I'm almost certain he knows who they are and that we could guess most of the names on that list (probably not including McCain, Romney, Giuliani, Specter, Snowe, or Collins). There may be some other great candidates out there who will emerge, and by staying mostly outside that discussion, JimRob gives us room to put their names and qualifications out there.

If I'm too far wrong, I'm sure I'll get corrected on the above.

I keep hoping we have someone who's even better than Palin ... although I'll admit to hoping that Palin 2012 will be even better than the successful governor and natural leader we saw last year, and that she'll stomp on the socialists and clean out DC in one landslide election. My top choice for 2012 is Sarah Palin, but I want her to earn it, not just claim the nomination because it's "her turn". By not limiting the acceptable choices, FR remains a great place to get those names into play; that's how I knew who Sarah was months before McCain chose her.

The establishment may also decided that it’s “Romney’s turn” in 2012. Republican primary voters are gullible enough to go along.

McCain had his shot. He blew it by pushing Paulson’s panicky bailouts for his Wall Street friends. Romney also pushed this big government socialist boondoggle if I remember correctly. A pox on both of them.
