A large majority of Israeli Jews support military action aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear facilities, according to a survey sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League.
According to the poll, a large majority of those who support a move by the army said they would maintain their support even if the Obama administration opposed it.
An overwhelming majority also said they believed close relations with the United States were essential for ensuring Israel's security.
The survey, administered by the Maagar Mochot research institute, involved 610 respondents, constituting a representative sample of Israeli Jews over the age of 18.
Asked about military action against Iran, 66 percent said they approved of it, 15 percent said they were opposed and 19 percent said they did not know. Among those who said they approved army action, 15 percent said they would change their minds if the United States opposed it, while 75 percent said they would not. The rest said they did not know or gave other answers.
Focusing on Israeli-U.S. relations in the Obama era, the survey revealed concern over possible erosion of U.S. support for Israel, and over a rapprochement between the United States and Arab countries at the expense of Israel.
Sixty percent of the respondents said they had a "positive" or "very positive' attitude toward President Obama. However, only 38 percent said they thought his attitude to Israel was friendly - in contrast to 73 percent of respondents in a 2007 poll, who defined the attitude of the previous president, George W. Bush, as friendly.
Asked whether reconciliation with the Arab and Muslim world would come at the expense of Israel's interests, 63 percent said they believed it would; 71 percent, however, said the interests of the United States and Israel were "similar" or "complemented each other."

Of course, why would they be willing to sacrifice the lives of their people just to keep liberals calm? Only an imbecile would consider it a good compromise.
The Jews in this country are on a suicide mission.
Turning sand into glass would be a good thing...
Yeah, I'll bet they gave other answers.
When the gun is to your head and you can hear it being cocked, do you really care what anyone else thinks?
If this is true ... which I HIGHLY doubt ... these people would be suicidal imbeciles
“Sixty percent of the respondents said they had a “positive” or “very positive’ attitude toward President Obama.”
What is that all about? Don’t they realize the feeling is not mutual?
The other 38 percent must have their heads stuck in the Negev sand, regrettably.
so far they don't see a threat. so far the threats from the left are only words.
Can we swap their Jews for our Jews ?

I can’t understand with the monterous things that have been done to these people; how any of them could support this man.
The majority of Israelis is more in touch with reality than are the majority of Americans.
The younger Israelis participating in the poll would be two or even three generations beyond the Holocaust survivor cohort which played a major role in the founding of Israel and its initial identity. The passage of time weakens these connections and identifications, so the threat of annihilation of Jews or the Jewish state has less of a role in the their thinking than in does in that of their elders.
Secondly, when a poll respondent was asked if Obama was against Israel, many who don't follow American politics closely might reflexively disagree because they have been conditioned to think of the US as a friend of Israel and Obama is the head of the US. It isn't necessarily support of Obama that's being measured in the poll.
Watching neighbors, friends, and family members get killed going to the grocery store has that effect on people.
Well, consider the world leaders they could compare him with — Ahmednutjob in Iran, the corrupt princes of Saudi Arabia, the crazy dentist in Syria, the Hizzie leader who is about take over Lebanon, the head of Turkey who went off on a loud angry rant at a summit meeting with the Israel premier (or whomever it was), Egypt’s Mubarek (who has managed to stay alive a lot longer than most of Egypt’s modern leaders, if not all of them), Khaddafy...
I’m glad that 66% approved of military action against Iran, but 60% also had a positive or very positive attitude toward Obama. Well, I guess in time this percentage will diminish drastically when Israelis find out how bad Obama is for Israel.
Thanks for the ping!
I suspect that the 60% figure is a matter of public relations, as The Anointed One is a megalomaniac..
