Why aren't Republicans calling for an investigation into Tiller butcher shop?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't 3rd tri-mester abortions ONLY legal if they're "medically necessary"?

I find it hard to believe that all of the abortions Tiller performed were medically necessary. Just saying.

This man took more lives than than the Vietnam War, if the numbers are correct. That is amazing and the left refers to him as a hero?

No. It’s because they’re gutless spineless jellyfish. That’s why.

You’re a suspect poster.

could someone explain to me how trimester of a glob of cells has anything to do with a woman's right to privacy? I'm confused. (facetious alert)

“Why aren’t Republicans calling for an investigation into Tiller butcher shop?”

Because Republicans are just a “theory” and nonexistent?

You’re a suspect poster, or you’re attempting some form of irony I didn’t immediately consider.

Apologies if it’s the latter.

Testimony during the debate over late term, partial birth abortion confirmed that this heinous procedure was never medically necessary.

If a woman’s life is threatened by a pregnancy that late into the pregnancy, why is it less dangerous for her to partially birth the child, have the doctor kill it, then complete the birth?

The truth is that the only purpose of these abortions is to rid the woman of her child. Tiller was a monster who would have had us believe that he was a compassionate care giver to women.

Thanks, Jvette. You beat me to it.

Dear prismsinc,

Because “medically necessary” was interpreted by the Supreme Court in Doe vs. Bolton (the companion case to Roe vs. Wade) to mean pretty much anything the mother who wished her unborn baby dead wanted it to mean. This “health” exception, according to the Supreme Court, includes the vaguest and mildest mental distress.

There is no meaningful legal bar to abortion up until the point the baby is completely separated from her mother. In spite of what the promoters of baby butchery often say to the general public, that Roe only makes first trimester abortions legal, the reality is that Roe & Doe permit abortion on demand in all fifty states throughout pregnancy.

Did you hear Rush this week discuss the laws on the books in 30 states stating that adult children are financially responsible for the care of their elderly parents, and that the Government will begin to enforce these laws to try to “save Medicaid”?

I think it’s time to ask mothers about to have an abortion “Don’t you want to take advantage of this government benefit”?

Wow, have been here 10 years, have worked tirelessly for the elections of Conservatives and since I point out that the anti-abortion groups TACTICS have been a gross and general failure, I am a “suspect poster.”

Wow, you are as narrow visioned as you often appear.

Since you claim to be so correct, and so on the side of God, when are you going to realize that since you are right as to cause, but less than 2% of Americans see Abortion as the most important issue in an election, when are you going to stop blaming everyone else for the continuance of abortion and start placing some of the blame where it belongs, on you and the incredibly poor tactics you employ?

Accepting responsibilities for outcomes is the first step of leadership. You guys have screwed it up since the 60s.

Ask anyone who served in Vietnam; Just because you are right on an issue doesn't alleviate the need to use proper tactics to achieve your goal.

I don’t employ “tactics”. Never have.

My suspicion about you was correct. You’re a cloak conservative, but your pro-statist streak has reared its ugly head.

There’s no point in fighting for anything if your fundamental purpose is anything other than defending and protecting the innocent. If you haven’t come to this conclusion intellectually, sadly, you’ll achieve this conclusion in a deeply personal event at some point in your life, in a way you’ll least expect it.

I pity you. You and Obama are brothers in arms. You might as well support him, as you’re doing a disservice to true conservative advocacy.

Too busy with your our name-calling, you are missing the point..... or perhaps you do so to avoid responsibility for your failures.

Stop and think. Since we are right on the issues, why do so many people care so litle?

Two important point:

#1, We are right on the issues. With some very very rare exceptions, abortion should be illegal in the first trimester. It should always be illegal after the first trimester.

#2, Despite having the above facts on our side, the issue is the critically important issue in national elections for less than 2% of the voters. Despite tremendous expenditures of time, effort and money, 49 out of 50 voters think there are more important issues than yours.

Whose fault is that? Is it the fault of the unborn babies? Is it the fault of the justness our cause? Or is it the fault of some people, (and some very highly paid people) who insist on using the same tactics to fight abortion that have been such a failure for the past 40 years?

Abortion will cease to occur in America when the pro-life supporters decide to begin to use tactics that will change the hearts and minds of the voters, not the same old worn-out tactics that have a perfect record of failure for 40+ years.

Don't blame those who disagree with abortion but have their eyes open enough to see that these tactics have been a failure. Look to yourself and those who have simply repeated the same failures for 40+ years.

Golda Meir said Arab children being used as suicide bombers will cease when Arabs learn to love their children more than they hate Jews.

Abortion will stop when our side learns to love the unborn more than they are attached to their failure-proven tactics.

Again, I’ve not employed “tactics”, and I can’t legally “stop” abortions. I can’t “fail” if the other side makes the rules.

You’re way off topic here. Republicans are spineless jellyfish. I wanted all of us to consider badgering our representatives to start investigating Tillionaire Tiller’s butcher shop.

One doesn’t need a law degree to comprehend the problem with the Federal Government wanting to enforce the act of abortion UNTIL someone commits an illegal abortion. THEN the Federal Government wants the STATES to enforce the law, absolving the Feds and expecting the State Government to pick up the (legal, financial & moral) tab. I can’t say for certain right off hand, but constitutionally, there appears to be some 14th Amendment ‘equal clause’ missaplication going on here, I suspect.

The other problem I have with your comment here is that you’re blaming those of us that want to stop abortions for the abortions that go on. WHAT? That’s the same perverse logic Obama uses! Advocate abortion for the sake of reducing them! Think about what you’re saying!

As for name calling, you did it. I only said I pitied you.

My definition? Someone who ‘cloaks’ their values in conservative ideas, but when the rubber meets the road, they remove their veil and show what they truly are.

No sir, I am only pointing out the total and complete failures of your program to build a constituency... and by the way, your supporters threatening to withhold their votes if someone is not “anti-abortion enough”.

I sometimes wonder.... People like Jessie Jackson never want to solve racial problems, because if they did, they would be out of a million dollar a year job.

I wonder, since the people at the top of the anti-abortion movement are supposedly smart men and women, then why do they insist on raising money to simply repeat the same tactics that have failed so terribly... and pay themselves well to “administer” those programs and tactics?

Why would they continue to waste money on programs that don't work?

Makes one wonder......

What on God’s green earth are you talking about?

I’m not part of any “program”! Where did you get this insane idea? This is why I found you to be suspect!

I speak for myself. I don’t carry a “banner” for any organization.

Besides, if this is what we’ve come to, that the only way one can advocate “life” is to be a member of a group, then we deserve to tumble into the flames of hell that await us.

Being an advocate of life is a God-given obligation, not some stuffed-shirted politician’s perversely written interpretation of a “pro-choice” position, as the unborn get no choice.

There was history before Vietnam. There was history long before the Revolutionary war. It would behoove us all to remeber that.
