Too coincidental.

Probably, but he refused an order. That's a perfectly plausible and defensible cause for discipline, regardless of the reason or the more global issues.

It won’t look good for Obambi either because we all know it came from him to stop people from finding out who he really is.

Yes, even on the odd chance that the WH did not have anything to do with the termination (I do believe in fairies too. /s), it will still look really bad. Give the Clinton's their due. They would not have handled this affair in such a clumsy way. (In their case termination might have been more...how to put it.......terminal.)

WOW!! started reading it>>>

“clearly violates the Whistleblower Protection Act if it takes or fails to take (or threatens to take or fail to take) a personnel action with respect to any employee or applicant because of any disclosure of information by the employee or applicant that he or she reasonably believes evidences a violation of a law, rule or regulation; gross mismanagement; gross waste of funds; an abuse of authority; or a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety.”

going to be fun to watch...

From the blog:

"The CEO of Simtech, Inc., Larry Grice, explained to Plaintiff over a series of four conversations within the next two hours, that he had been terminated.  Grice told the Plaintiff that he would no longer be welcome in his former position at SOCOM but that Grice wanted to see whether he could find something within the company (Simtech, Inc.) for Cook.  The upshot was that at this time Grice did not have anything for Plaintiff to do.  Grice told Plaintiff, in essence, that the situation had become "nutty and crazy", and that Plaintiff would no longer be able to work at his old position.

Grice explained that he had been in touch with Defense Security Services (an agency of the Department of Defense[1], with regional offices located in SOCOM Headquarters at McDill Airforce Base in Tampa, Florida), and that DSS had not yet made a determination whether Plaintiff Major Cook's clearances would be pulled, but Grice made clear to Cook that it was DSS who had compelled Cook's termination.  Essentially, because of the "nutty and crazy" situation and the communications received from DSS was no longer employable by him at all.  So he was not optimistic about getting me another job at the company.  Grice also reported to Plaintiff that there was some gossip that "people were disappointed in" the Plaintiff because they thought he was manipulating his deployment orders to create a platform for political purposes.  Grice then discussed Plaintiff's expectation of receiving final paychecks (including accrued leave pay) already owed, without any severance pay, and wished the Plaintiff well."

NOT, I disagree, it is still happening to “someone else”. So long as they pick people off one at a time noting will happen.

Ever go hog hunting at night with a red light and scope? So long as you pick hogs off one at a time from a distance and make clean kills they just keep eating.

Some will be outraged but not enough. Zero and his thugs are now forming a plan to make Major Cook out as the villan, they will Joe the Plumber him if they can. It is only if the rank and file active duty officers feel threatened at a high enough level that anything may happen. Military follow orders, they are programmed to, they view one who does not as suspect to begin with. Not following orders is breaking rank first and may be considered to have merit second.

Zero will squash this action. Major Cook is a brave man but ...

Some DOD jobs require the person filling the position to be a Reservist that is deployable. If he was in one of those jobs it was kinda foolish for him to "raise the stink" if he wasn't willing to get stinked on. OTOH, if his position did not REQUIRE he be a deployable Reservist he needs to see his Union Rep ASAP. He will fight this successfully in that case (if he wants to).

Hussein’s MO hasn’t been named but it’s known he’ll pull out all stops to destroy the private lives of anyone who questions him.

I'd like to propose either of these:

"Plumbered" or "Cooked"

Eventually, he’ll file a whistleblower suit and make out. He had to see this coming. Until this sorts out, he had to know he was in for it.

He should start writing his book. It’s likely going to be taught in schools.

That assumes anybody is paying attention to this. Few people are even aware that questions have arisen about Obama’s birthplace.

There simply is too much going on. As Glenn Beck noted recently, a typical Alinsky tactic is to “overwhelm the system” by moving along multiple political fronts. We thus have Obama movement on the environment, health care, the economy, free speech/fairness doctrine, nuclear proliferation at the same time. The opposition cannot “freeze” any of these issues and target it — and so cannot effectively oppose what appears to be overwhelming political momentum. In that tidal wave of movement, the BC issue is a drop.

Thus, there is no critical mass (in raw numbers) nor an influential lobby (i.e., “movers and shakers”) for the Obama legitimacy issue. MAJ Cook is not Joe the Plumber — he does not have that kind of exposure or salience. Obama and his acolytes will destroy Cook, and only a few will know that the man ever existed.

Not with the injunction she’s got on her website she won’t. She misspelled one of the plaintiffs names.

They’ve basically questioned his stability. It’s a simple episode. I would say out of twenty-odd times that I’ve seen it applied....half the time, it was justified. I recall in one deployment situation, we have a navy O-4 who was in serious need of hospital time and two burly guard were brought in to escort the guy to a mental unit.

In this case...I’d be curious what else he has said about his place of employment. The other curious thing....if he won’t take orders to Afghanistan...how could he take orders and work in a normal military environment on a daily basis? With this thinking...which I’m only speculating his government bosses via the contract...might have easily determined that he could not possibly take orders in his normal civilian job. Whether right or not...it’s a curious scenario.

He' being IG-ed. .. there's lots more, one example, remember Able Danger?

Though this happened during the Bush Adm. the Clinton Adm. had a lot of 'spainin' to do. Here's what happens when you go up against "the system."

Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer besides sudden accusations of false travel mileage and use of his cell phone for personal matters, the alleged infractions include obtaining a service medal under false pretenses, improperly flashing military identification while drunk and stealing pens from an office supply cabinet -- more than 20 years ago!

.. and of course Congressman Weldon and family started getting FBI visits just before the election (2006?). He lost.
