Rapid Rifting Presages Future Events
ICR News ^ | November 19, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

The Great Rift Valley extends some 4,000 miles southward from Syria north of Israel, through the Gulf of Aqaba, through Ethiopia, and all the way to Mozambique in southeast Africa. It harbors a giant fault, which has been under investigation as a model for sea floor spreading. A recent geologic event rent a gaping crack through the desert of Ethiopia, causing safety concerns for locals. These crustal plate motions may foreshadow rifting events further north in the Great Rift Valley...

Duplicate Thread:

The self-appointed posting police strikes again!

I know you think that you are the center of the universe. However, I spend a lot of time on FR and I had never seen this thread, and I am the center of the universe.

Didn't you get the memo?

Darwin’s Goat is still a goat no matter how trimmed and shaded.

Why demand more from creationists and hold them to a higher level of accountability than evos hold to?

note: Brian Thomas and the IRC is hardly a reliable, objective source of anything o be posted even once.

Look, loser, in Jr. High you may act like a bully, but in an adult forum, don't you think the rest of us are entitled to form our own opinion?

I'm beginning to suspect that you're part of the pervert contingent. They are the only ones that "lose it" with a source they don't approve of.

Well put.

And the obvious answer is *No*.

FWIW, your observation about OCD is probably right on the mark. GGG posts these threads and does not ping the evos. They find these threads themselves and swarm them to join the feeding frenzy some of them start.

There is a feature on FR and each computer that allows one to bypass threads they don't like. Nobody is forced to read these. Why evos join the thread and then go on to complain about where it's posted, or even its existence at all, is beyond me.

Like maybe the Mount of Olives getting torn from west to east?

You’re not implying that the Bible is right about something AGAIN, are you?

You know that it’s just a bunch of fairy tales. They must have guessed it. It’s all just a bunch of coincidence you know.

Speaking of goats, they are vertebrate mammals.

Further, vertebrates are (according to Webster) ... “any of a large subphylum of chordate animals, including all mammals, fishes, birds, reptiles, and amphibians, characterized by a segmented spinal column and a brain enclosed in a brainpan or cranium.”

And so it is that we are backbone-related to mammals, fishes, birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Further, according to Steve Jones, “About a thousand genes are shared by every organism, however simple or complicated.”

Imagine that. The DNA code was so efficient that God used it in a wide variety of animals.

Isn't common design wonderful?

"Look, loser,"

Ad hominem? Is that the best you have got? A little frustration at not being to refute the content of my posts certainly brings out the Christian in you doesn't it?

...don't you think the rest of us are entitled to form our own opinion?"

As am I.

It goes beyond animals. We share those thousand or so genes with plants, bacteria, viruses, etc.

Isn't common design wonderful?

Yes it is ... Both Darwin and Jones end their books with these words: "... whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."

Which is no recognition on their part of common design. They still attribute it to evolution instead of God designing the animals He created as kinds using the same patterns.

Try again.

Indeed! All elements are made from a few particles, all molecules are made from a few different elements, all of the universe functions with a few forces, Truly elegant, the common design with a number of variations.
