Just like in Columbus, Rochester NY fans waiting all night for Sarah Palin found out there were only 500 wristbands avaiable, instead of the 1000 promised.

Just like in Columbus, Rochester NY fans waiting all night for Sarah Palin found out there were only 500 wristbands available, instead of the 1000 promised. There were people who drove hundreds of miles and waiting all night just to get a change to meet Sarah. But over 500 people who thought they had gotten there early enough got shortchanged - again.

We're pretty sure it's the bookstores that are behind this but in the end, it'll be Palin who looks bad if she doesn't get a handle on this. There were some VERY upset people. Some demanded a refund for their books. Just FYI folks - especially people waiting in other cities right now.

It’s a concerted effort to make Sarah look bad. I am sure of it.

You got to meet Sarah Palin in person, got her personal autograph, got her best selling book, and you're whining about some book store promotional wrist band?

You pathetic human being...

True story:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin spent more than three hours signing her book, Going Rogue, at a northwest side bookstore on Friday night.

On the third day of Palin's book-signing tour, the Borders bookstore on Sawmill Road announced that the first 1,000 in line by the store's 10 a.m. opening would be guaranteed to get their books signed. But Palin's staff called the store and told the managers to cut back to 500 wristbands, causing hundreds to be turned away, 10TV's Kurt Ludlow reported.

At one point, Palin stepped outside the bookstore to greet people in line. The rush to surround her forced her security detail to usher Palin right back inside.

Well, it may or may not actually be happening. The headline appears to be in question form. Without the question mark, though.

And the "info" is probably from someone in the Lamestream media with an intense hatred of Sarah Palin. Think Andrea Mitchell.

But, yeah, if people are bitchin' about not getting their books signed, they're morons.

Not surprised. I would have bet money that she would vote yes. $10 says she votes against the final bill so she can claim opposition to it next year in the election.

My Wife, and her best friend who were there(both pulled an all-nighter). There were getting the wristband for their husbands). Our mission was to leave this afternoon to join them in Rochester. According to my wife, there were about #560. No wristband. And to others, the reasons I reported it was
1) To give heads up to folks waiting in line right now
2) To hopefully get word to the Palin camp so they can remedy the situation
3) To NOT start off her journey to history with a bunch of pissed off people

Up until yesterday, news reports and bookstore said first 1000. They found out THIS morning when the doors opened that it was going to be 500.

Being short on wristbands isn’t too much of a downer - people can write their names on a list provided by the tour people and they can receive their band in the mail later.

Tours rarely work out as planned - better they are “short” than nobody wanting them.
