Obama in a Bind Over Country of Birth

President Obama is in a fix over his country of birth.

The President started to dig the hole as Senate candidate and now he is president, the hole is getting deeper and uglier, mainly because of his evasive actions. Many Democrat supporters are either ignoring the problem or are vehemently attacking "birthers" who question the President's eligibility.

Republicans are not the only ones concerned about his eligibility. Libertarians, independents, constitutionalists and even democrats are wondering why Obama is fighting so hard to hide his origin.

Unfortunately, Obama dug the hole himself, and like a hole created when a water main leaks and then bursts, the hole is expanding day by day and as it does, the fallout is increasing.

The President and his legal teams have done everything in their power to prevent anyone from accessing his real birth certificate, if he has one, but there are other lines of investigation they cannot block.

During his campaign for the Senate, he and his team touted his Kenyan birth, possibly because it made him more appealing to the voters they needed. Unfortunately, admitting to his birth in Kenya makes him ineligible for the Presidency.

So the question now is, was he really born in Kenya and he told the truth in the Senate campaign, or was he really born in Hawaii, and the Kenya story was a lie, used to deceive Illinois voters.

Obama can't have it both ways. The answer to this question will be interesting!

Of course, he could say the campaign and the reporters all got it wrong, but it will be interesting to follow the trail on this investigation and discover the sources for the AP story that documents the apparent fact that Obama was Kenyan born.

If it wasn't the truth back then, why didn't he stop the campaign using that information and why didn't he make the AP issue a retraction?

Obama supporters who say it is nobody's business, need to take a step back, imagine the president is George Bush and ask themselves the same question they should ask now. "Is it OK for the President to hide his origin and what are his motives for doing it?"

I want there to be a simple, truthful answer to these questions, but I have a strange feeling the answer is not what any of his supporters wants to hear.

On another thread, another FReeper cited and quoted Blackstone as pointing out that English law has never followed jus sanguinis.

Born on U.S. soil = natural-born U.S. citizen.

In Barack's case, even if he were born in a foreign country, he'd still be a natural-born U.S. citizen, because his mother and father were not properly married under U.S. law -- the father was still married to another Kenyan woman, which made his pretended marriage to Stanley Ann Dunham bigamous, null, and void.

Stanley Ann Dunham was Obama's sole legal parent, and she was a U.S. citizen. End of story.

Until, that is, Barry Soetoro's stepfather took him to Indonesia and naturalized him there -- which meant giving up his U.S. citizenship under Indonesian law. Did he ever get it back? Could he ever be "natural-born" U.S. again? Stay tuned -- I think that is exactly what Obama is actually covering up. Not his birth, but his renaturalization -- or the lack of it.

As far as I know there were two newspaper reports claiming Obama was born in Kenya. One reporter used another story and the original, a reporter from Hawaii, now says he made a mistake.

If Obama touted being born in Kenya during his run for the Senate there should be video, tapes, reports or even candidate materials directly from Obama. That is what needs to be found, if it exists, to get public opinion behind “birthergate”.

EternalVigilance who works with Alan Keyes has gone on record saying this wildly reported claim from the Keyes/Obama debate never took place.

Those of us who fully believe Obama is not eligible to hold the office of the Presidency need to make sure our claims are based on verified facts.

I’ve written the writer of this editorial asking him to provide sources that Obama admitted Kenyan birth during his Senate campaign. I hope the writer knows something none of us have been able to find; Obama saying himself he was not born in the US.

For me it’s enough that Obama openly admits to holding dual citizenship at birth (see John Jay’s letter on citizenship qualifications for the Presidency) - so far no court has found it enough to even merit discovery to settle this question.

If we can find Obama admitting foreign birth, it would go a long way in swaying public opinion and while it may not matter to a court, the court of public opinion would make Obama, an already unpopular president and the Dems sitting ducks for the next 3 years.

Can you imagine how hard the media would try to cover up and protect Dear Leader if someone found Obama on tape admitting to foreign birth? If such a beast does exist (and I’ve written to the writer of this editorial to see what his “sources” are) it will be time to go to work.

“Birthers” will have to work ten times as hard to get the information out to the public knowing we can’t rely on our corrupt media.

There are hundreds of threads going back over a year, and many containing thousands of posts. There are Constitutional scholars and paid White House trolls there duking it out. Go read it.

Also read the federalist papers and you can see the intent of the founders. They exempted themselves as they were not natural born, but wanted people with allegiance to no other nation as president. Natural born had a was a term of art at the time and they assumed you would look it up if you didn't know.

I'll take the original intent of the founding fathers over the "if it feels good do it" interpretation of president Do cacas any old day.

FINALLY someone on here brings up exactly what I’ve thought would be the damning to Obama.

It isn’t Stanley and any questions surrounding Obama’s birth that is the real question - it is his admitted, known and proven adoption by a citizen of Indonesia and Obama being legally a citizen of Indonesia.

If Obama regained his US citizenship upon reaching age 21 and returning to the US he become a naturalized citizen.

If he failed to disavow his Indonesian citizenship when reaching adulthood he is at best a dual citizen and at worst a illegal alien just like his Kenyan Aunt.

Under either scenario, Obama is not qualified given he owed allegiance to a Foreign Government.

Which court case? There's been 50+ Obama eligibility cases (and counting) that have been denied or dismissed so far.

Please point me to a case that defines NBC as being born of two American citizens. I've been waiting quite a while for this.
