Recently Jim Robinson posted two threads declaring Free Republics determination to see Conservatives elected and ousting Rino's from government. Jim and a great many Freepers believe that we need to take back control. But the RNC is not hearing us. Activism is called for NOW. 2010 is nearing and we need Conservative candidates to run. The time is ripe and people are ready for another 1994 type election. But we need to make the RNC hear us loud and clear. This is the Rino Free America Project. Get involved. Make them listen. Write a letter and MAIL it.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am a (member/visitor/friend) of FreeRepublic.com, a non-commercial Conservative website which is "...a political discussion forum and independent grassroots conservative activist group supported by donations from our readers and participants...." (freerepublic.com). I watched the Presidential election with interest. I have watched local, state and federal elections with interest. I have been extremely disappointed with the candidates you have selected to represent Republicans. I have grown weary of candidates who have chosen to ignore conservative ideals, principles and values. Conservatives want strong candidates who are not afraid to stand against liberal agendas, democrats, and the liberal media. Unless I see a commitment by your Republican representatives to protect and defend conservative principles, and actual evidence (legislation and behaviour) that there is change, I will not send in donations nor will I vote for your candidates. I have no desire to support a political party who does not reflect the core values of Conservatives.
I would like to quote the founder of FreeRepublic.com, all of which can be found here http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm:
"...In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule. After reading what your website says (http://www.gop.com/index.php/learn/what_we_believe/), it is very clear that you don't pick candidates who support or defend your belief system let alone the Conservative belief system. As a result, I believe the Republican Party has left the conservatives. There has been growing evidence that many elected officials are not true Conservatives. Instead, we tend to call them RINO's. RINO's are defined as "Republicans In Name Only". I believe the majority if not all Republican candidates and elected officials are RINO's because of their actions and votes in congress. Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops ... and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty..."
I believe that you are aware of what a RINO is because after completing a quick search on your gop.com website, I noticed quite a few references to RINO's in the search results. I view RINOs as Republicans who claim to be Conservatives, but use their postition to promote, defend and protect liberal ideas, goals, agendas and legislation. While observing past campaigns, I noticed that your candidates use action phrases, slogans and key words that appeal to conservatives, but after they are elected they fail to promote, defend and protect the Conservative platform. You have compromised without a fight for far too long. This is completely unacceptable.
In conclusion, I declare the following:
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for amnesty for illegal aliens is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for cap-and-trade is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Romneycare, Obamacare, Medicare Part D, or any of the other un-Constitutional Federal health care schemes is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Federal control over education is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Federal take-over is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who is unwilling to repeal Roe v. Wade is a RINO
Whereas Anyone who pushes abortion is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to investigate and prosecute those who are involved in corruption is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Big Government bailouts, takeovers, and stimulus give-aways is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who pushes gay marriage is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to defend our nation is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to secure our nation is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to secure our borders is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to secure our God-given unalienable rights is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to abide by the constitution is a RINO
And will not be supported by Conservatives.
Sincerely,
Name
Addresss / State
We have been frustrated and angry at the way we have been treated by the political elite in this country. They have ignored us, belittled us, overlooked us, and singled Conservatives out for their special brand of contempt. It is bad enough when liberals and Democrats do it, but the betrayal of our Constitution, Conservative values and morals at the hands of the party we built and supported for many years has been the ultmate blow to Conservatives.
ARE YOU SICK TO DEATH OF HEARING THAT THE PARTY YOU ONCE TRUSTED TO UPHOLD CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES IS A BIG TENT THAT ADMITS ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN NOTHING IF THEY DECIDE TO WEAR AN 'R' AFTER THEIR NAME??? TELL THEM ABOUT IT!
Write a letter, (it will only take a few minutes of your time) and SEND IT! Not an email. Not a fax. Not a phone call. We want to flood their headquarters with letters they can't ignore. Have your friends and family send as many letters as they can. The value of ONE handwritten letter with words inscribed from the heart, is worth more than ten voices screaming at the top of their lungs. Let them know you are serious.
No more contributions to the RNC (not one cent) If they insist on supporting RINOs who don't adhere to core Conservative principles and values. Tell them in your own words that you will support individual candidates of YOUR choosing on their own merits, and not the party hacks they want to jam down our throats like Dede Scozzafava and Arlen Specter. Tell them why they have reason to fear us. They won't if one or two letters trickle in. We need thousands. DO IT TODAY OR TOMORROW, BUT DO IT!!!
Man, oh man, wouldn’t you just love to see the USPS delivering bags of mail to the RNC from us for Christmas?
It would be like getting coal in their stockings.
Then we also need to put it in the letters if that’s what we believe in. Let them hear us.Can you imagine the outrage and uprising if people were persecuted for WRITING LETTERS?
Beautiful! I LOVE it!
Will send it. And wil lget others to do so as well.
Excellent..
Thank you !! They are losing us right and left so to speak. We will win this!
They lost me with Arsewipe Specter some years back, when Toomey was running against him. And when they threw Rick Santorum under the bus as well. He’s a fine, decent Conservative man who they should have fought harder for, but they let Empty Suit Casey walk off with the election.
I’ve made my mind known to the GOP many times over the phone when they call asking for money.
My answer is this: “How much does a RINO cost? Run one, and you’ll find out.”
I will send this to all the folks on my Email list.
Again, thank you. Excellent job. You are indeed right. We WILL win this.
We are sufficient for the day, after all...
A little early New Year’s wake up call. WAKE UP NOW RNC! 2010 is upon us!
NO MORE RINOS-----WE NEED FIGHTERS NOT SELL OUTS!
Woo Hoo! He’s back on mine too. (Must have been out for a minute making a list of all the bad little RINOs who will be getting their pink slips soon. he he)
~SO CAN THE LETTERS~
You just knew I had to write that. :)
Those pics give me a good feeling. :)
There is something else that dawned on me earlier, but was distracted. No one here is asking that you tell the RNC that you are a member of FR in the letters. Just write a letter expressing your views, why you are dissatisfied, and why there will be no more donations. This is a simple letter campaign, and hp got everyone in a tizzy for NOTHING. Danggit.
Yea!
Thx.
It’s on the sample letter at the top of the thread. It’s a Free Republic project and I HOPE most people got that. But if they didn’t,we can keep reminding them as the thread goes on.
Okay... Will do.
Interesting article...

Conservatives Want Republican Purge Trials
Across the land, grindstones sing as axes are sharpened for the RINOs. For years, conservatives have railed against these moderate “Republicans in Name Only,” launching primary campaigns against them, pouring money into their opponents’ campaign funds, and excluding them from committee chairmanships. But since 2006 the party’s pulse has weakened, and the GOP’s leaders have decided that nothing is more healthful in such a situation than hacking off a limb or two.
—snip—
That, evidently, is the thinking behind the 10-point test for GOP candidates that was proposed last week by a group of Republican national committee members. If a candidate “disagrees” with three or more of the pointssaid disagreement to be determined by one’s “voting record, public statements and/or signed questionnaire”then they can forget about financial support from Republican central.
Leading conservatives are hopeful about the prospects of the coming period of inquisition and excommunication. As former House Majority Leader Dick Armey explained to the New York Times, “The Republican Party knows it has to repair its standing with the American people.”
—snip—
The Rest of the article, well......don’t think it’s so hot.
The checklist is BS, because we all know they can say what the GOP wants to hear. Actions are what counts, not words.
Only Jim Thompson knows for sure.
