Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

I'm not a believer in letting the opposition have control of the meaning of words.

The Leftwingtards want to claim that the "Fundies" represent a specific division in Christianity. I prefer to think of the word as referring to those who are well within the pale of Christian belief ~ or the Judeo-Christian tradition ~ and sometimes just those who refer to that set of beliefs and the tradition for counsel (which includes just those who read Proverbs).

God said He could raise believers up from the rocks on the ground, and He can, and they are everywhere ~ even in venues where The Word has never been heard as we hear It.

Call me an Ecumenical Fundy if you want ~ but that's the way it is this day in December 2009.

I’m underwhelmed.

They’re probably bemoaning what’s become of FR.

(IOW, they can’t take it over and make it DC lite.)

Amen, Jim,

I once was given a description of a Darwinian as being the type of person who would sit patiently at an auto junk yard, waiting for that Ferrari they so yearned for to ‘happen’ - either by lightening, windstorm, or earthquake to trigger it’s creation from the primordial mix of all the required elements which were definitely present.

Just thinking of that puts them in perspective for me.

Holy cow! I got a reply from Jim Rob! 8^D

Oh dont worry I’m not about any of that type of thing. I’m just surprised whatever happened, because I usually stay away from most faith/religion/Darwin flamewars, got that bad.

I do not bow down to any ideology, religious or political.

Question is, do you bow down before God Almighty?

What the heck are you taling about? And if I were a supporter of Darwin would that make me evil? Because what I see on here is a lot of nasty talk from people about people who believe in evolution. I don’t see a lot of threads denigrating people who are anti-Darwinists. If there are, show me.

Thank you VERY MUCH Jim. Proud to be part of FR, all I’m able to do is add a couple of cents in comments, I’m not fast enough or astute enough to post anything but it’s where I get my info from and then go “out there” prepared.

Many are surprised that I’ve “already heard” about this or that and it’s due to the great FReepers than are constantly digging for articles, thanks to all and God bless you and FR.

How does one species turn into another?

The most common way is that one or more groups of a species become isolated from the rest in a somewhat different environment. Over long periods of time, the isolated groups' genetic material is selected and drifts until sexual reproduction with the parent population is no longer possible. Voila': a new species.

I'm not interested in ‘winning’ but rather discussion without the personal attacks. Spirited debate among persons with strong opinions are one thing but off color comments and harassment are quite another. When that occurs everyone looses but I supposed for the disruptor's that's the whole point.

By the way, does this mean I won’t get called an idiot for questioning the supposed “settled” science of evolution the same as I questioned the supposed “settled” science of AGW?

You can never be too sure. Taking a hint has never been Darwinist's strong point, as evidenced by the number of them who've been axed for shooting their mouths off.

FWIW, you're keeping good company there.
