Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Get your flame suit on. Not everyone who believes in evolution will do evil things to other people. However, if you bring up the correlation by some who have used evolution as a justification for their evil you will be flamed for it. I agree with you. If we are nothing more than highly evolved animals with no purpose and this is all there is, why should I care about the rights or feelings of others? Most people who believe in evolution are good people with good morals however they are acting inconsistently with what they believe.

Every religion you named declares that Mormonism is not Christian.

What do Mormon's believe about other religions?

I swear they would jail or execute Creationists if they could.

TheMarxists, Communists, Darwinists, whatever shade of red they are, want to force everyone to believe as they believe which is basically that mankind does not get our inalienable rights from our Creator. They want other men, in the form of big government, the State, to rule over us completely.

They have realized that to achieve these ends, they must target certain groups, and belittle them, make them to appear as troglodydes, luddites, knuckle-dragging ignoramuses. They use peer pressure to enforce the bullying.

Like the homosexual agenda, they learned that the only way to stop critical thinking, was to brainwash the school children, which is why they started classes in evolution in grade one. No child of six has the mental ability or social awareness to question the theory.

That they have "declared war" on a site such as FR, where freedom of religion, and freedom of thought still exists, shows that they are the intolerant ones.

There are some prominent evolutionists, (and their followers will scream in denial like howler monkeys when you present the writings) that want sex with animals, sex with children, and Christians in zoos.

"I am not attacking your BELIEFS. I am attacking the ‘creation science’, which: 1. perverts science, 2. perverts Christian faith."

Aside from the fact that you are 180 degrees out from reality, you are reinacting the very thing that caused this thread to be posted!

In the same way that law-abiding, conservative people are a "fringe" group in the USA. If we could just grow beyond our current 60% of the population we could really go mainstream.

Photobucket

Yeah, I can see why they would have a problem with confronting Eric Harris and his belief system of Darwinism.

"Keep it civil. If you evidence to present do that. However saying we are fringe (negative connotation), unable to reconcile faith and science, anti science, etc etc, that is a personal attack."

Read the original article we are discussing. Calling me a 'Darwinist' (why not an 'Einsteinist', 'Copernicanist') and denying the right to be defined as Christian also constitutes a personal attack. With one thing I can thus definitely agree: let us keep it civil.

As for "That is your opinion." - well, you have a problem. Science is not just a set of isolated findings. Findings from many different areas of science are interconnected and consistent with each other, and the theory of evolution comes as part of the whole package. Moreover, on the basis of this package we developed technology, and we can see that it works. This supports MY opinion.

Too bad that that same technology brought us DNA identification, which punched holes in Darwins theories that have yet to be filled.

denying the right to be defined as Christian also constitutes a personal attack.

Who denied you the right to call yourself anything? I mean, if Tiger Woods can call himself a Blasian, why can't you call yourself a Christian?

his FRINGE belief, professed only by some FRINGE Protestant sects, defines one’s conservatism and faith, and denies Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, Mormons etc. the name of Christians.

- - - - - - -

Don’t lump everyone together there. There are those who believe God could create through Evolution, yet limit the title “Christian” to those who accecpt traditional Christian doctrine, like the Trinity and the Atonement of the Cross.

I have no problem, based upon basic theological tenants of accpeting Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, as Christians.

I do draw the line at Mormons, JW’s and a few other groups, and will deny them the title Christian, based upon their THEOLOGY.

But I suppose you think I am “fringe”.
