KARACHI: Pakistani security forces along with help of US intelligence arrested Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al- Adam, who is a close associate of Osama Bin Laden. Abu Yahya was arrested on Sunday from an area surrounding the super highway, on the outskirts of Karachi.
Sources confirmed that the arrested militant commander has been shifted to Islamabad for further investigation.
Pennsylvania-born Abu Yahya is a US citizen and assumed to be a commander of foreign militants fighting in Afghanistan against the US. His name is included in the top ten wanted on the CIA list.
We can only hope. I have a feeling it will be turned into a circus, and the left will be out in front trying to make him a hero of some sort (or a poor boy who was mistreated in some way and turned into a *bad guy* by capitalism. Or something like that.

They will surely drag this thru the courts and get all the national attention possible...unfortunately so will the thug..He is guilty and no doubt of that..but attorneys will play all the cards in the deck...and who pays them?
Perhaps better minds will determine no fanfare on this show as a national security issue as putting it out there will give the thug a stage.

Who the heck is this? I have read things which make it sound like it COULD be Adam Gadahn, and others which say it is not. Or, were TWO Al Qaeda honchos caught today?

It’s the kind of song Joey Dee and others would likely perform also but the version known the best is by Lee Dorsey. Not sure what year it is from but it was on the first classic oldies album I ever had!
Abu Yahya Al-Libi, who is the person that the headline says was arrested *is* a top al-Qaeda leader. He is not the same person as Adam Yahiye Gadahn. It looks like the headline on this thread is wrong and that Gadahn is the one who was arrested today.
Joey Dee did release it as a single in 1971. Lee’s version is the one I remember though.

Actually right now both of their Wikipedia pages are reporting that they were captured today. They are not the same person. Abu Yahya al-Libi (from Libya) would be a more important capture.

Easy answer. Enemy combatant on the field of battle, no uniform, flying no flag. Interrogate and execute. He gave up his rights as far as I’m concerned.

b/c Adam Gadahn is more of a spokesman/propaganda type so far as I’ve ever seen
This is SOLID evidence that the intelligence community has gone “rogue” in a GOOD way, probably using private money r funds allocated for covert purposes and deposited in placed out of reach of the White House.
There is NO WAY Obama is authorizing the arrest of high-level Muslims. I am sure he is very steamed about this, but has to PRETEND to be happy about it!
