We need people in office who have experience in the sciences.

When I lived in Michigan in the 90’s I wrote Dingell Berry off when he handed in his membership to the NRA during the Klinton years.

I’d rather he was in a nursing home than in congress, that’s for sure!

“And the military, engineers, and business”

Yeah. People who have actually built this country. Most of the leaders in China hail from the sciences and engineering. I sincerely believe that’s why they’re overtaking us.

"Check out this Doc who shoots and is also into sports and muscle cars."

Why is it so unusual to think that a doctor would be interested in the shooting sports? The first machine gun (Gatling gun) was invented by a physician (Dr. Richard Gatling). The famous Lemat revolver that Jeb Stewart carried was created by a New Orleans physician, Dr. Jean Lemat. What a bummer that the NRA because of their endorsement policy will be coming out in support of Dingle. Let's just hope they don't get too actively involved in the race.

I don't know how much of a chance Dr. Steele has but my hats off to you. I read his website about how he never had an interest in getting into politics until the last year and am finding that a more common story. I would think with this health care monstrosity he would be well poised (as a doctor) at this time to challenge Dingell.

I know a lot of cool doctors who don’t fit the bill for the liberal panty waist mold. The best doctors are embodying American-American cultural freedom and spirit. The socialist/humanist pansies are bringing up the rear in science. Those who support socialism do so in the hope of “leveling the playing field” with the docs who kick their fannies in competition.

Soon the socialists will win because great doctors will not be told how to treat their patients nor will they watch them die at the government’s order - no matter their age, handicap nor medical condition. Great doctors heal.

And we have a surgeon running against Stupak. Well there is one thing we know. These two are twice as bright as the incombents.

A lot of conservative doctors (I think I read somewhere a number of about 30) are stepping up and running in races around the country. I hope they all win in landslides.
