Christian militia group arrested, allegedly threatened Muslims, Hamas-linked CAIR plays victim card

These raids and the alleged Christian character of the militia, as well as its targeting Muslims, is a mainstream media dream come true — a few years back the BBC featured an inversion-of-reality drama about Christians beheading Muslims, and now, lo and behold, it seems to have come to life. For years to come this “Hutaree” will be thrown in the face of anyone who takes note of jihad activity in the United States and around the world, as if this group in itself balances and equals the innumerable Islamic groups that are waging armed jihad all around the world today.
The point will be the same as the one Tim McVeigh has had to shoulder alone all these years (even though he wasn’t really a Christian at all, and did not justify the Oklahoma City bombing by reference to Christian teaching): that every religion has its “extremists,” and that therefore it would be bad form to subject Islam to greater critical scrutiny, and Muslims to greater law enforcement scrutiny. Everyone does it, don’t you see? Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hizballah, Jemaah Islamiyah, al-Shabaab, and on and on and on — yes, but the Hutaree!
Meanwhile, why doesn’t the Detroit News include in this story quotations from Christian leaders explaining how they condemn this “Christian militia,” and that Christianity doesn’t condone such violence, and that these militiamen have twisted and hijacked their peaceful faith? After all, they always include such quotes from Muslim leaders in every story about Islamic jihad terror activity. Why is the practice different in this case?

Posted this on another thread, fits here too:
This raid is not by coincidence. It coincides with the whole mantra of the Obama Admin and the MSM, of the nastiness and dangers of the radical rightwingers, such as the Tea Party organization. They will hammer their point home by rounding up these militia guys to show how crazy, nasty, and dangerous the far right is and will associate it with the Tea Partiers to brainwash the sheeple into believing they are part of the fringe loonies. The Goebbels propaganda machine marches on.

FBI seriously needs to raid CAIR and do a complete and in depth investigation of their files and transactions, etc.

I read somewhere that there are several Al Qaeda-like training sites scattered around the southern U.S. Haven’t read about any raids or arrests concerning those...

Holder has his marching orders: Tie the tea party movement, and the MSM manufactured “right wing violence” wave to some scary right wing militia groups. If they are tied to religion, even better.
And anytime I hear the ATF charging somebody with a pipe bomb crime, I think about how dead-bang simple it is to charge any reloader with that. Anybody who owns gunpowder for ammo reloading should know they are one manufactured snitch’s ATF-induced lie away from being arrested for “possessing bomb-making materials.”
This is a two-fer for the fedgoons. They’ll get their anti “right wing violence” hysteria whipped up in the fedgoon lapdog MSM, and they will lead to a push to ban private possession of gunpowder for ammo reloading.
The fedgoons REALLY hate it when civilians make their own ammunition.

I think they are all over. I remember reading about one that is in Pennsylvania.

Yes, and our resources were stretched throughout this three-state operation. But not to worry; help is on the way and how clever of Obama to have such foresight re our 'needs'. . .
We knew about this; and/or now 'know about it' - whichever the case. . .help is on the way. ((Newsrealblog) Amazing; we passed that Healthcare bill, just in time. . .
per Kelly Wolf's (Right Side News) DH/newsreal/ posits "Although Wolf couches the editorial as speculation and conjecture, it looks as if the “progressive” Left may have established a variation of Barack Obama’s private army. It all depends on how nefarious their intent is. On page 1,311 of the healthcare legislation passed last Sunday and signed into law by President Obama a new army, a Commissioned Corps and Ready Reserve Corps, is created. Wolf contends:
“The bill contains all the elements to allow this hostile administration all the power it needs to completely control and eventually destroy every freedom and liberty of Americans. It gives the government total power over the health and well-being of each citizen, making us supplicants to their throne of Government controlled HealthCare.”
As for "It all depends on how nefarious their intent is". . .
Of course, we are all to well aware as to their worse than neafarious intent. . .

Senators to Napolitano: Show us the data
By Michelle Malkin • April 17, 2009 12:58 PM
Senators Coburn, Brownback, DeMint, Burr, Murkowski, Inhofe, and Vitter sent the following letter to DHS Secretary Napolitano yesterday concerning the DHS conservative hit job:
April 16, 2009
The Honorable Janet Napolitano
Secretary
The Department of Homeland Security
310 7th street, S.W.
Washington, DC 20528-0150
VIA FASCMILLE
Dear Secretary Napolitano,
We write today concerning the release of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” prepared by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch, of the Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division.
While we agree that we must fight extremists who are both foreign and domestic we are troubled by some of the statements your department included as fact in the report titled above, without listing any statistical data to back up such claims.
First, your report states that “Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists…” without listing any data to support such a vile claim against our nation’s veterans.
Second, the report states that the millions of Americans who believe in the Second Amendment are a potential threat to our national security. Why? Do you have statistics to prove that law-abiding Americans who purchase a legal product are being recruited by so-called hate groups?
Thirdly, the report states that those that believe in issues such as pro-life legislation, limited government, and legal versus illegal immigration are potential terrorist threats. We can assure you that these beliefs are held by citizens of all races, party affiliation, male and female, and should not be listed as a factor in determining potential terror threats. A better word usage would be to describe them as practicing their First Amendment rights.
Also, you list those that bemoan the decline of U.S. stature and the loss of U.S. manufacturing capability to China and India as being potential rightwing extremists. We would suggest that the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs in the manufacturing industry to foreign countries are not potential terror threats, but rather honest Americans worried about feeding their families and earning a paycheck.
In closing, we support the mission of DHS in protecting our country from terror attacks and are proud of the many DHS employees who make this possible in conjunction with our state and local law enforcement. We ask that DHS not use this report as a basis to unfairly target millions of Americans because of their beliefs and the rights afforded to them in the Constitution. We also ask that you provide us with the data that support the unfair claims listed in the report titled above and to present us with the matrix system used in collecting and analyzing this data?
Finally, we look forward to your prompt reply and we offer our assistance to DHS in our shared effort to fight terrorism both home and abroad by using data that is accurate and independent of political persuasion.

I’m looking for something like this next.
(Found this fiction on the internet.)
INTERIOR UNDERGROUND DC PARKING GARAGE. BOTTOM LEVEL. NIGHT.
Libra’s footsteps echo off the walls. The buzz of a flickering neon light is heard. In the corner of the garage a whole sector of lights has gone dark. Shadows thicken. A lighter flickers in the darkness as a cigar is lit.
LIBRA: Carthago. Countersign?
CENTURION: Delenda est. Sort of overly dramatic don’t you think?
LIBRA: Not paid to think. What is the assignment?
CENTURION: The Wing thinks it’s time to lay a little blue smoke between the mirrors. Take the heat off our team and torch the other side. That’s your job.
LIBRA: Fine. How wet does the Wing want it to get?
CENTURION: We project that if three team members are sent down it should put a stop to any attrition in November.
LIBRA: Wouldn’t taking out just one serve the same purpose?
CENTURION: No. It has to look like a pattern.
LIBRA: Fine. Any particular team members you need erased?
CENTURION: Nobody from Chicago or San Francisco. And from safe seats only. We need to preserve the count. Renegade’s very keen on that.
LIBRA: Level of obfuscation?
CENTURION: None. Public and messy. “Accidents” would be counter productive. But no families. Renaissance would be upset.
LIBRA: Timing?
CENTURION: Within the next 10 days. It would be best if all three were within the same day.
LIBRA: You want target clearance and notification?
CENTURION: No. This will be the last contact for this contract.
LIBRA: Half to the Bahamas account by noon tomorrow and the half on completion to our friend in Costa Rica.
CENTURION: Done.
LIBRA: Anything else?
CENTURION: No. If we need you again we can always find you.
LIBRA: That’s what you people always think. Oh, by the way, was that stuff about you being naked in the showers the real deal?
CENTURION: Just get it done.
