numSlides of totalImages On Cinco de Mayo, five Morgan Hill high school students came to school in red, white and blue, and got a very public lesson in school politics and free speech.

The boys came to Live Oak High School on the Mexican holiday, wearing t-shirts, shorts and shoes emblazoned with American flags.

Around 10 a.m., the assistant principal told sophomore Matthew Dariano he had to remove his bandana, which is against school policy.

Cinco de Mayo is NOT an American holiday.

February 2nd should be an AMERICAN HOLIDAY.

That is the day we took most of the Western United States from Mexico.

A great day for America and a great day for the world.

school uniforms

Will we be footing the bill for uniforms for illegals too....? I am all for uniforms...paid for by the students parents....not their neighbors.

I think its more between patrotic Americans and fawning, dumb, pusillanimous liberal Anglos who feel that America has an obligation to pander to Mexicans, Muslims, and any other group that comes along acting obnoxious.

This should not be allowed to stand.

The bastards responsible for this should be remived from office.

There needs to be an naitonal response to idiots like these academician elitists.

Simple.

To an elitist academician:

Western Civilization = Bad

America = Very Bad

Mexicans and other Third Worlders = Very Good

Muslim Maniacs = Very Good.

It sounds like these students need a closet full of conservative, anti-Leftist t-shirts to wear every day to really p.o. these teachers. What conservative t-shirts would you like to see them wear to class?

Principle should be fired or taken to court for violation of first amendment rights under color of authority!

“These school officials should be scolded for the racsim it just created.’

Scolded? They should be *fired*. At a minimum sent home on administrative leave without pay for a week to contemplate their stupidity.

The respectful display of the American flag — anywhere within the United States — is never “inflammatory.” Anyone responsible for teaching the next generation of Americans who believes otherwise needs to leave public education and find a job in another line of work.

That would make me insane. I can’t stand Mexican. It’s like getting a cramp in your ear. Thai and Vietnamese, also.

Although I love German and Japanese.

And don’t even get me started on Mexican “music”.....I would forgive any alien race that destroyed the Earth only because they heard Mexican “music”.....it would be completely understandable.

I am sure glad I moved out of Morgan Hill in 1994. I lived there for eleven years and it was still a nice place when I left.

It is obviously an expensive toilet, today!

There is no need for "uniforms" in our schools.

We managed quite well up until the early 70's with nothing more than a "dress code" that was enforced!

Girls would be asked to kneel on the floor to ensure their skirts touched the floor and boys were sent home for wearing jeans or told to get a hair cut if it or their side burns were below their ears. No t-shirts were permitted...thus no obscene, or otherwise, messages were being displayed.

It's quite simple really...have a set of rules and ENFORCE them. No need to go fascist!

I guess you’d have to hand it out in 5 packs, then.

Thanks for the explanation.

If it wasn't for the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and our defeat of the Mexican Army, most of the illegal aliens in THIS Country would now be living in Mexico.

Happy Second of February!
