Gov. Deval Patrick says the Lincoln Memorial is "sacred ground" to him, so he wishes Fox News commentator Glenn Beck had not held a rally there.

Yet the Democrat says, "It’s a free country," and, "You got to respect that freedom."

“The Massachusetts Republican Party died last Tuesday.
The cause of death: failed leadership.

The party is survived by a few leftover legislators
and a handful of county officials and grassroots activists
who have been ignored for years.
Services will be public and a mass exodus of taxpayers will follow.
In lieu of flowers, send messages to Republican voters
warning them about a certain presidential candidate named Romney.”
- Boston Herald, 11/12/2006

"In 2006, while Romney was chairman of the National Republican
Governors Association - a group dedicated to electing more
Republican governors - his own hand-picked Republican successor
as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans
have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990. Romney largely
ignored the Massachusetts elections and spent most of the time
during the campaign out of state building his presidential campaign.
He came back and publicly campaigned for the Republican candidate
the day before the general election!
“Locally, this is a rebuke to Mitt Romney and checking out within six months
after being elected and having accomplished almost nothing,”

[Jim] Rappaport [former chairman of the state Republican Party]."
- Boston Globe, 11/8/2006

Gov. Dukakis (who did not have to flee Massachusetts):
"Mitt Romney is the biggest disappointment I think I've ever seen.
He was a lousy governor. After a year and a half, he just walked away from the job.
He just bounced around, depending on the way the wind blows.
"

Is he saying that white people are not part of the civil rights movement? Sounds divisive to me.

Hey, Gov. Patrick!

Wish in one hand and sh*t in the other. Then tell us which one filled up first.

Now...don’t you have a Ho to go nail....?

Get lost, Blinky!

Last I read, it was still called the “Lincoln Memorial”, not the “King Memorial”. It is NOT a King site by any stretch of the imagination.

"Gov. Deval Patrick says the Lincoln Memorial is "sacred ground" to him, so he wishes Fox News commentator Glenn Beck had not held a rally there."

Translation: "Only Black People have the right to hold rallies there and if you don't believe that you are a racist..."

If the black racists want their own MLK site, they can raise enough money to build an MLK memorial.

The other memorials belong to the rest of us.

Gov. Deval Patrick says the Lincoln Memorial is "sacred ground" to him.....

Then the participants in 1963 shouldn't have left the place looking like a landfill.

The Kenyan just spent a fortune to redecorate his office just like Patrick. Coincidence? Nah. Both live large off the taxpayer.

Last I heard, it was the Lincoln Memorial, not the MLK memorial. Blacks are panicked that their victim gravy train is drying up.

Are you suggesting Glenn fly a plane into the Lincoln Memorial to get permission to express his views there.

Gov. Patrick wishes Beck rally was not at King site

So the changed the name from the Lincoln Memorial to the Martin Luther King memorial? I must have missed that.

Gee Deval, should we put up a “No Conservatives Allowed” sign at the Lincoln Memorial? Relegate them to the back of the metaphorical bus because they don't hold the right views?

Perhaps a “No Republicans” sign but that would be a little awkward at the Lincoln Memorial (and considering that its likely that Dr. King was a Republican at least early in his career when virtually no Southern black was a Democrat).
