Fifteen separate objections have been filed challenging Rahm Emanuel's legal standing to run for Mayor of Chicago based upon his failure to maintain a legal voting residence in the city during the past year.

Do not fear, the Rats will change the rules just like they have in every instance where the rules got into the way before. New Jersey and New York ring a bell just for starters?

So just pay off a judge to pronounce him legal to run and be done with it! Shouldn’t really cost him all that much money...

I'd love to see him kicked out on his a** for trying to skirt the system. And what would Obama do....hire him back??
This could be fun.

Ironic - this is what obama did to get elected - knock his opponents off the ballot.

I’m not sure this is going to work out for Rahm. He was not as obsequious toward Obama as a malignant narcissist requires, Plus, if Obama is feeling paranoid and or especially spiteful, Rahm’s departure could be seen as a betrayal.
One of the truly nasty (yet favorite) tricks of a malignant narcissist is to feign friendliness toward a former member of the inner circle while secretly backstabbing him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama has turned on Rahm, and the latter will be the last to know.

Nothing like a little crisis not going to waste for the ballerina boy blunder. Seems weird to have the wonderful city of Chicago involved in this rare controversy for them. (;

Maybe Chicago can change the law to interpret voter intent.

State law requires mayoral candidates to be city residents for a year before an election, he said. The only exception is for active-duty members of the military.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whoop-dee-doo. There's 'state law' and then there's Chicago and its Crook County Court and its (cough) Judges.
Each judge starts out as an 'appointed' Associate Judge, like hearing traffic ticket cases.(guess who appoints them. Hint: It ain't the tooth fairy). And then after playing nice for a few years they are allowed to run for election as Circuit Court Judge.
The fact is every one of those judges are wholly owned subsidiaries of, a) the Chicago (Daley) Machine, and b) the Illinois Combine. So if they want Rahm on the ballot he will be. It's as simple as that
And if it was 15 years ago add c) The Chicago Outfit. But them days are over.

Hardly breaking news ... this has been talked about for weeks. I expect that when all is said and done they will treat his stint in DC like that of any soldier stationed away from home ... it won't compromise his "residency."
It would be nice to see him catch the crappy end of the stick but it would be nicer to see all those other Chitown pols rip him to shreds over Obama's (and his) policies.

"At some point during his high school years, while working at an Arby's restaurant, Emanuel severely cut his right middle finger on a meat slicer. He sought medical attention only after suffering severe infection from swimming in Lake Michigan and as a result of the wound, the finger had to be partially amputated.[" LOL! It was his middle finger!!

Is residency a problem when running for mayor?
Maybe Obama can fix him up with a phony “short form” or something that will make all the dumocrats happy!

Cracks me up.
All these people spending their time and efforts challenging his legal residence for a mayoral office and yet . . .
these same people will tell others they are nuts for questioning obama’s citizenship for this country.
