The left sees history's fist coming. Again.
American Thinker ^ | December 13, 2010 | James Lewis

Posted on 12/13/2010 12:56:02 AM PST by neverdem

Want to know why the Democrats in Congress are mumbling "f*** the president"?  Want to know why the Cancun mobsters are demanding world power for yesterday's climate fascism?

This is Dunkirk, folks.  It's the Battles of Midway and Gettysburg rolled into one.  This is the watershed moment in history.

This is where the Evil Empire gets its comeuppance.

The next few years may be the most historic ones in our lives.

The left is at the very peak of its power since the Evil Empire fell in 1991, with Obama occupying the White House today, surrounded by his commissars.  The left is still pushing the climate scam because it's the biggest totalitarian power-grab in history, and they can't let go of it -- even if nobody believes Algore anymore.  Trillions of dollars are teetering on the edge, like the Chicago Climate Exchange, and leftists are all rushing in to keep it from screaming down into the steep canyon.  This is right out of a Road Runner cartoon.

But the biggest threat the left sees is Governor Sarah Palin.  And it's not just the American left -- the Euro-lefties hate Governor Palin in the same way they still go foaming at the mouth over Maggie Thatcher.  The U.N. corruptocrats fear her already.  Right now, the worldwide left is feeling a lot more scared than we think.

Here's why:

(a) Palin is Reaganesque beyond any politician we have seen in two decades.  When the Soviet Empire was defeated, it was by three Western conviction leaders: Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and John Paul II.

(b) Palin is charismatic far beyond Obama's sputtering appeal.  You can tell Obama's not happy whenever he makes that prune face, like he's biting into a lemon.  Obama looks sour whenever he is not being cheered and adored by the masses.  He needs that adulation to prop up his fragile ego.  Obama can't hide his sour face when things turn bad.

In the Kremlin today, you can bet they are video-screening Obama's prune face frame by frame to see how Our Hero is doing.  And Putin is laughing at the photos.  Putin is a Russian nationalist, and he doesn't want Obama to be the new Lenin.  If anybody is going to be the new Lenin, Putin wants it to be Putin.

(c) Sarah Palin is a Reagan-style constitutionalist.  The hard left understands that, even though they pretend not to.  They know perfectly well who they are and what they are.  The hard left consists of wannabe totalitarians.  You can tell by the fear they show at the prospect of losing power.

George Washington welcomed his chance to leave the presidency and go home, but these people live for the dream of power.  They are obsessed with it.  That's why the Democrats finally showed their rage and anger against Obama in public.  You think only one Congress critter mumbled "f*** the president" to himself?  They've all been saying it over and over again.  They've been waking up at night, screaming it out loud.  Watch all the little cartoon thought bubbles coming from the Democrats in D.C. and you see one giant "f*** the president!"  And Obama knows it.

That's why we need a constitutionalist president again -- because the lust for power is a common human failure.  Obama is not the first.  He is the average power-hungry pol as demonstrated by the last six thousand years of history.  Political parasites have been the bane of human existence since Egypt and Sumer.

We need to see our leaders walking away from power over and over again.  Harry Truman went home and was glad to leave the snake pit of Washington, D.C. behind.  Jimmy Carter didn't want to give up power.  And Obama is going to keep popping up like a bad Jimmy puppet for decades to come.

To the left, we are seeing a perfect replay of the historic crash of the Soviet Union.  They've seen this movie before.

Remember that the Soviet Empire crumbled of its own inner contradictions.  All the West did was show its character and determination.

Remember also that Reagan, John Paul, and Maggie Thatcher were hit by assassination attempts.  Reagan and John Paul were badly wounded and lived with the pain for the rest of their lives.  Thatcher had a lucky escape.  John Paul's assassination plot was traced directly to the KGB; Reagan's and Thatcher's would-be assassins were also radical leftists.

In the end, the Soviet Empire turned out to be 91 percent Potemkin Village and 9 percent real.  But it took real character and courage to blow that house down.

Reagan, Thatcher, and John Paul saw some very bad times, but they didn't give up.

That's the lesson for all conservatives.

Learn it or lose it.  Learn from your own history.

The other side is feeling desperate.  All their power amounts to a false front.

This is the time for conservatives to go for victory.

Tell us how you really feel LOL! (you owe me a new keyboard).

With all due respect, Jaguar, there is NOTHING funny about Gargantua's viciousness. It's that kind of behavior that gives all conservatives a bad rep. What does it cost anyone to provide a little information to another on a website except a few keystrokes? What does it cost to make one's default position here decency and consideration instead of mindless venom and lame one-liners?

Even if asking to be educated is somehow seen as weird or suspicious, it takes the same amount of typing energy to provide a few links and/or summarize a few policy statements as it does to spew mindless hatred. It costs nothing to be classy.

It wasn’t Duncan’s or us 1%ers’ fault that the other 99% behaved in a moronic fashion.

No, but you are missing the point of politics.

This is not a test of your ability to find the most conservative candidate. There is more to it than ideology.

You purists will go to your graves blaming everyone else that we weren't as SMART as you were, without realizing it's the one with the most votes who wins, and dividing our votes among many no name, no chance, no money, no charisma candidates guarantees we will lose.

The establishment knows this all too well of course, and they always encourage a large field of conservatives to run, splitting the base so their RINO can win with a plurality. It happens almost every time.

Duncan Hunter is a fine conservative. But we don't elect Presidents from the House of Representatives. It's easy for House members to remain ideologically pure, they are just one vote of hundreds. They never have to make tough executive decisions that they will be held individually responsible for.

This years Duncan Hunter will be Jim DeMint if he runs. A great conservative, with NO CHANCE of being elected President.

Mike Pence is more interesting because at least he has a little charisma (sad, but it's very important with our dumbed down electorate) But he is still relatively unknown and stands almost no chance. He should run for Governor and get that executive experience. He would then be very viable for President.

But the establishment knows, if all these conservatives run they will all appeal to various factions of conservatism, and that makes it easier for Romney to win with a 30% or 35% plurality.

The beltway establishment has been playing Chess while we play checkers.

You guys would not have supported Reagan with this outlook, hell, he used to BE a democrat. And I'm sure at some point in his history he had a kind word or a compromise with a democrat.

We have, for the first time since Reagan, a real conservative with the experience, values, character, charisma and tenacity to win, and yet all you guys can do is look for the most obscure unknown conservative because you feel one that could win is not pure enough for you.

Not saying you are wasting your votes, but if we ever want to elect a conservative to the White House we need to come together behind one candidate early. Otherwise we will end up with what we had in 2008.

Yes, James Lewis nailed to the wall.

Consider this trifecta: Palin P, Petraeus VP, Paul Treasury.

We couldn’t dream of a more powerful coalition. Insist on Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell and Herman Kane installed wherever they’d like to be.

And for my money, Sarah Palin is more Reaganesque than Reagan.

She really kinda is, she’d edit to ‘my 20% enemies have got to go.’

It'd be nice if we had help from the GOP...

There are some people who are not political junkies and really do not know anything about politics or just hate politics, we have to change that. Too many Americans do not even bother to vote and then we have the insanity of the left especially the ones that are left enough to fall off the planet and they vote. We have to try and get more Americans to vote and to be patient when questions are asked so that they can understand what conservatives stand for instead of the lies that the left are always telling about conservatives. And they are excellent liars and have a lot of power right now and need to be neutered. I know Jeff Head had a list of info on Obama before and after the election maybe that is what we can do for Sarah so that we can always be there in a second to make sure people know the truth about Sarah than the lies that are constantly told about her and her family. I honestly cannot get over how the left fear this little woman, it makes me laugh out loud it’s so funny.

Geeeeeez!

So what do they call those voters who are still undecided...a couple of days out from the election?

Even the dead know how they’re going to vote.

Wolfstar, I can appreciate your situation because I've been there numerous times in my life.

However, having said that, if you look up in the right hand corner of the FR web page where it says "SEARCH", you can type in the name Sarah Palin and hit the "SEARCH button" and, and ........ lo and behold, up will pop numerous threads on her chocked full of interesting tidbits of history pertaining to her character, ideas and political positions. Then you can peruse them at your leisure.

But then, you knew that already ........ didn't you? That's why I say you're an in the closet Palin hater struggling to come out, or, maybe a Romney or Huckabee supporter. Come on.........admit it!! Confessions good for the soul. :O)

"It costs nothing to be classy."

BWAAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHHA!

No, it doesn't. And there's no "off" position on the "stupid" switch, either bonebrain. Are you for real? Are you sure you're not trying to log on to "Gay Republic"?

Maybe you found those dirty spectacles in the same dumpster with your broken cellphone? When you were checking for people's mistakenly discarded foodstamps, because Granny needs that third leg amputated and a new colostomy bag? (sniff, sniff...)

Your continual reference to "conservatives" in the highly perjorative third-person implies that you do not consider yourself among that "ilk." Thank God above.

So tell us, what does a lame, play-acting squid do at Christmastime? I mean, besides pestering grownups with inane, plastiscenely staged scenarios? Whatta simp.

Thanks for the belly-laughs. You are hysterically funny.

That's why I say you're an in the closet Palin hater struggling to come out, or, maybe a Romney or Huckabee supporter.

You are wrong. Flat out wrong. That's what comes of making assumptions about people you don't know. Sure I could search FR, and what I would get is not what I'm looking for. I would get a lot of fanboys and girls ooooing and ahhhhing over her, some arguments when the fans and non-fans butt heads, etc. My time is extremely limited. My "day" is most people's dead of night, and I can't surf the web while at work. This far out, Palin is the heavy favorite to be our nominee, so I want to get to the substance of her proposals in a way that's easiest for me to do so. Too bad I asked the wrong people.
