She didn’t lose to Bachmann, who was there and campaigned with gifts of tee shirts and some say beer. Because Bachmann did not win.

People are known for who they associate themselves with. Far more important than words.

If these activists think Ron Paul is electable; then who cares 'what' they think?

CPACers live on another planet. I'm no fan of Huck. But if anyone thinks in a primary race that Paul ends up with 30% of vote and Palin and Huck (who got 2%) COMBINE for 5%, they are delusional.

CPAC was overrun with the Paulnuts and the Gay Mafia.

You are very welcome. Palin’s judgment is at stake here.

She has to show what side she is on before conservatives commit to her.

Bachmann was there, Palin wasn’t. That could explain why Bachmann got 4% and Palin only 3%.

CPAC is where Reagan spoke over 10 times.

The story is fairly simple. Romney and Paul have organizations, nobody else does.

Sometimes it’s important to have an organization. Perhaps voters learn who you are by magic, and votes magically appear on election day. Sometimes organizations work hard to drag every single vote to the polls.

If Ron “I don’t see homosexuality as a sin/I voted to repeal DADT/abortion is a states rights issue” Paul won a CPAC straw poll, the fag/Libertarian (no difference) influence must be quite heavy.

Please, conservatives, take some time to read the speeches and writings of Washington, the Adamses, Jefferson, Madison, and all the other leaders of the First American Revolution. Read your Declaration of Independence and Federalist Papers.

Think about where our nation stands today--betrayed by its leaders, its principles of liberty undermined and denied both at home and abroad. The liberty of future generations, perhaps, relying on the decision you make about your choice of a candidate to protect the Constitution and to roll back decades of erosion of her principles.

Then pray that Divine Providence once again shows you a leader of uncompromising character, deep and abiding understanding of the ideas of liberty, as well as an understanding of the counterfeit ideas which do battle against it--whether those ideas come from ages-old religious roots or from Marx, Lenin and Mao. Couple those understandings of America's founding principles with an ability to so articulate those ideas that none can stand against that leader without looking foolish and/or vain. Merely calling to mind Ronald Reagan's defense of America's founding ideas is not sufficient, although it may be admirable. The candidate's understanding must be authentic because of personal study and assimilation.

Then, and only then, can we hope to select a candidate who can win the hearts and minds of the citizenry and lead the Republic back to its foundations in liberty.

That candidate, when the candidate immerges, will stand head and shoulders above the current field, as constituted today. It will not be by reason of popularity, as popularity is measured in the media. Nor will it be by fame or fortune. It will be because, as in 1776 and 1787, that person can so articulate the essential ideas of liberty that even those who have never heard them, will recognize that their grandchildren's future depends on the leadership of that person.

A reading of the writings of the first 50 years of American history following 1787 will reveal that such was the feeling of citizens who looked to Washington for leadership in that time of great crisis for the nation.

I think Sarah is more influential being an advocate rather than a candidate (but, if she is the nominee, I will support her to the max!).

SarahPAC was a sponsor. Is that what you were referring to?

Or a realization that it could possibly be better to cancel and avoid having to send out a facebook saying “come to DC”.

Everyone has talked up Palin as the one since Aug 08. But these serious, real straw polls come along, and Palin does not do well. Often she doesn’t compete. She’s never had anything resembling a victory at any of these things.

But everyone failed really, except Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, who is doing almost as well as he did 2 years ago (when he won), 3 years ago (when he won) and 4 years ago (when he won). Every single candidate except Ron Paul is either doing badly (almost everybody) or doing worse than 2,3,4 years ago (Romney).

Didn’t you hear? Sarah is the new “seven degrees of Kevin Bacon”

Somehow the libertarians and PDSers always try to tie Palin to NEOCONS and the New World Order, it’s ridiculous that Michael who once work as a counsel to a chairman of the NY port authority must believes and supports whatever this old guy did in his spare time. I’ve worked with many big time libs as my boss in my field and I’m just there to do my job not cater to their beliefs system

Ron Paul is against Roe v Wade.

Giuliani - and many other Republicans - are pro Roe v Wade. Giuliani was calling Ron Paul crazy.

It is not about the "Dominance" (strange word choice, right?)
it is about WHO comprises CPAC.
Get with the program, Behind Liberal Lines.
CPAC [ = Obama Republicans] supports the Islamic invasion, CAIR, Mitt Romney and antiSemitism.

CPAC/ACU/CAIR is run by Al Cardenas/David Keene
involved in Palin-bashing and Romney-care polishing.

""Palin-bashing CPAC/ACU Chair donated $2,000 to Arlen Specter, endorsed Romney""

""Exclusive: Conservative group offers support for $2M"

""Palin rebuffs CPAC, Keene""

"Washington Insider David Keene Disses Governor Palin, Claims to Speak for Grassroots
"Keene's ACU also puts on the annual CPAC conference in Washington.

.In the last three years CPAC has devolved into nothing more than
an annual love fest for the most established of establishment
Republicans, Mitt Romney. It should come as no surprise that David
Keene supported Mitt Romney in 2008. "

"David Keene Endorses Romney"

"ACU President David Keene Endorses Romney
Long courted by Romney, Keene agreed to formalize his endorsement of
the former governor during a face to face meeting in Florida on
Tuesday, according to knowledgeable sources."

"David A. Keene (born May 20, 1945) is the current chairman of the American
Conservative Union, a position which he has held since 1984. Additionally, he is the
managing associate at the Carmen Group Lobbying, a lobbying firm based in
Washington, D.C. In December 2007, Keene endorsed Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. "

"(at CPAC 2010, the) message there was that "real conservatives" don't support the war
on terror because it is a creation of the "Israeli lobby" - which coalesces with the left-
wing's new anti-Semitism against neoconservatives. Karen Kwiatkowski is a darling of
both the leftist Huffington Post and the anti-Semitic paleocon site Antiwar.com.

…is a board member of the ACU, and from the looks of CPAC's
covered topics and omission of discussion of jihad, it looks as if he exerts enormous
influence over David Keene, the ACU's nominal leader. Norquist and his ally Suhail
Khan seem to be in charge at CPAC - no CPAC event goes on that doesn't reflect their perspective. ….
Grover Norquist's troubling ties to Islamic supremacists and jihadists have been known
for years. He and his Palestinian wife, Samah Alrayyes, who was director of
communications for his Islamic Free Market Institute until they married in 2005, are very
active in "Muslim outreach." …..
It was Norquist who ushered these silver-tongued jihadists into the Oval Office after the
worst attack ever on American soil. ….
Grover Norquist was on the jihad payroll before and after the carnage and death of
September 11….
Norquist also introduced Nihad Awad, cofounder and executive director of the Council
on American-Islamic Relations, to President Bush. ….
It is no surprise that CPAC 2010, like CPAC 2009, had nothing addressing the war we
are actually engaged in. This is due to the influence of Norquist, Keene, and Suhail Khan,
a CPAC board member. According to Gaffney, Khan "has repeatedly been a featured
speaker at MSA, ISNA and CAIR events" - that is, Muslim Students Association, Islamic
Society of North America, and Council on American-Islamic Relations, three groups
linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, the international Islamic organization dedicated to
establishing the rule of Islamic law and the subjugation of infidels worldwide."

GERONL POSTED: Glassner won’t be in any policy-making position, just organizational.

ROTFL. That IS funny.

Come on, stop with the Neo party line.

Glassner HAD to have supported Eisenberg's full-frontal liberal agenda...... and is gaining a foothold by leeching onto Palin.

Glassner only thinks he's riding below the radar. That ain't gonna happen.
