If this was a citizens the cops would be SWEARING the deceased pointed the gun at them.
If that is the level of training and the cop mentality in this Burg, it is better that a cop got shot and not some poor innocent civilian.
Now are we supposed to beleive that the shooting of the citizen was legit as well? Or was it done by hyped-up cops who had itchy trigger fingers?
Winner.
Bad cops intended to murder an innocent citizen (who happened to be carrying a gun, but was non-threatening), then discover he was one of their own.
Good point.
The gun grabbers use myths and misconceptions to confuse people, we shouldn't help them do it.
The officer should have drawn his weapon and made the undercover guy identify himself. He escalated the situation as soon as he jumped on him and tried to take the rifle. We will see a lot more of this if Holder gets his way and dumbs down police examinations even more then they already are.
Waiting for Al Sharpton to arrive on the scene.
So far he’s been silent.
I have an ex-wife who tried to have me killed in just that way. I came to mediate yet another argument between her and my teenage daughter. She had already brought the cops by the time I arrived. As soon as I got out of my car, she yelled “He has a gun!” in her typically hysterical manner. The cop asked me if I had a gun. I kept my hands still and in plain sight and told him that my carry permit was in my wallet and my gun was under the seat of the car. This was in Nashville where our cops are accustomed to having armed citizens. The only result was for them to see “this broad’s mean and crazy” and this guy’s OK. She was hoping to have me at least beaten down and handcuffed if not just shot, though.
Why should he have drawn his weapon?
Remember:
The cop had a RIFLE.
He had his BADGE out.
The rifle had a SLING.
The RIFLE was being carried by THE SLING OVER HIS SHOULDER.
Iffen he was a civilian—same circumstances—they’d cap him in a second, congratulate each other, and lie through their teeth if necessary.
Close to New York City, they will.
And make the guy identify himself? Should his identity as a cop make a difference? What “situation” did he escalate? I don’t think there was a situation. Just a guy with a rifle slung over his shoulder.
The gun grabbers are of a mindset that any gun is bad. That will not change. The misinformation they spread is either made up or outright lies anyway...........
It appears the officer was killed by an MTA cop and I’m still trying to figure out what they were doing there.
Story different here.

Says knife guy lunged at cops.
>The only result was for them to see this broads mean and crazy and this guys OK. She was hoping to have me at least beaten down and handcuffed if not just shot, though.
Good news.
I have had my own ‘interesting’ incident with the police [sorta] involving a gun.
I was out at a social gathering and was cleaning my handgun; NM is an open-carry state, so there was *NO* way I was violating any law.
Well what happened was one of the group-leaders, whom I respect, said I was making people nervous and should put the gun in my vehicle; I complied thinking that was the end of the matter. It wasn’t.
After everyone had left several people got together and had a ‘meeting’ about the ‘incident’ and decided to call my National Guard until about it, this being while I was still enlisted. Now, after the call went to my unit apparently it made a round or two through the rumor-channels before being forwarded to the police. The police showed up at my home two days after the incident, fortunately I was not at home, as they entered the premises with, I’m told, weapons drawn and would neither identify themselves nor respond to questions presented by the landlady.
Disturbing in multiple ways:
1 — Police action based on triple-hearsay... MOBILIZE ON RUMORS!
2 — Warrantless entry/search of private property.
3 — Refusal to ID themselves.
4 — In response to a PERFECTLY LEGAL ACTION.
