A woman has been accused of microwaving her neighbour's kitten after she was allegedly thrown out of a party.
Gina Robins, 30, (pictured above)faces one charge of causing unnecessary suffering to the pet by putting it in the appliance at a house in Torquay, Devon, on February 16.
It is claimed the short-haired kitten, which was only a few months old, suffered devastating injuries and died. (Kitten was like the one in photo above)
Robins, wearing a black dress and a white coat, pleaded not guilty when she appeared before magistrates and only spoke to confirm her name and address.
The case is being brought forward by the RSPCA after its owner made a formal complaint.
Robins, of Torquay, was granted bail and is due back before magistrates on August 12 for a pre-trial review.
The charge was brought under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

>>I mean, microwaving your neighbors cat?<<
Sorry, I can read your ping but I can’t cross the line to read the article.
The pain I feel for my kitty Neysa, gone these 8 years after being with me for 18 years and then Musica after 3, who gave us such love for in there for 25 — yes 25 — years explained to me why God gifted us with cats. Imperious, yes, but humbling in their pure love for those who look closely. And they stand in as “people” to remind us we ain’t all that and a bag of chips :)
To this day I try, and am always happy, when I catch the purring affection of cats. They are capable of such deep and quick attachment. After making an acquaintance, you always see a small sadness in their eyes when you part.
This monster who put a cat in a m/w should be punished the same. And a just God will see that fit punishment in the long term.
That’s pretty effed up, if you ask me... And I don’t like cats.
I'm fine as frog hair! Wrapping up another well, and loading out my gear to head for the house.
You stay safe, and I hope you're well, too.
Keep yer powder dry!--we live in interesting times...there's a whole lot of p.o.-ed people out there, just looking for some thing/one to dump on. When it comes, it won't be pretty.
Yes, I understand.
Our dog Hershee will be old enough to drive this year, (16) and we just had a seniors blood panel done on her, and other than a bladder infection we are giving her antibiotics for she is fairly healthy.
She did have a stroke two years ago, but has mostly recovered. Well all except she seems to be lulu at times.
25 years, children don’t hang around that long before they leave....LOL
God does have a special punishment I believe for the most evil.
Impale her. Wow, then England can post her impaled body in the Muslim sector to remind them of why they refused toi enter Europw when he was still alive.
Is a dog another story?
Yep.... Cocooning (sp?) near home these days an stay away from the crowds for just such reason. Lots of folks looking to vent / rant in person to point they will hurt ir get hurt.
Sad daze....
Hot temps keep me near the pool an air conditioner these days after work so oh beer thirty , nap an a swim is my “stay chilly” recipe for now.
Backed by a concealed carry rig of course when out amongst the peoples....:o)
If my wife sees that picture of the kitty victim she would go over there(wherever there is)and beat the snot out of that woman. I would just be content to use the perp for fish chum which proves I am much more reasonable.
Being a dog person, it could be worse.
You may scare the fish away with her as chum....LOL
Excellent response. Ditto.
Aroooooooo!
There is not much told about this “lady” but I have to puzzle, could she be completely off her nut with a full blown case of sociopathic schiz? For either natural or supernatural reasons? She reminds of the wicked witches in the Grimm fairy tales.
OMG! My ex did manage to clone herself!
(Explains why she’s an ex, though not why she was an ever was.)

If he is a just God, indeed.
And I don’t care how corny FReepers (sans pets) see it, but the underlying idea of The Rainbow Bridge gives me great comfort.
God is omniscient. It is within His mighty arm to grant the smallest gift of the return of our small loved ones. He is a loving God who would not see us after our final times (if we are deserving) and not to greet our little loved ones with the joy we will greet our beloved family members.
And for these sadists, He shall mete out justice like for like. I don’t want to enjoy seeing that justice, but I would certainly have satisfaction for seeing it done.
And have an open arm for the poor victim.
Ditto on the Rainbow Bridge.
My oldest son was telling me the other day that he’d heard of people getting free kittens to feed them to their snakes. I told him if I ever found out about it, I’d turn their asses in , in a heart beat.
Then I was relaying this to dh and he told me that in Florida, it’s reported that kittens are used as shark bait. Don’t know how true that is but that’s what he’s heard and he has a lot of family that lives in Florida.
If she’d do it to a cat, she’d do it to a baby too.
Since it isn’t legal to just whip her ass (which is what would have happened if she had microwaved MY cat or any cat when I was nearby), she should spend 1000 hours picking up litter on the roadside wearing a shirt that says “I MICROWAVED A KITTEN” on the front and back.
