Polygamist heard on tape training girls for sex
KTUL ^

Posted on 08/08/2011 10:51:40 PM PDT by LouAvul

Prosecutors seeking life in prison for convicted polygamist leader Warren Jeffs closed their case with a final barrage of graphic audiotapes, records of 24 alleged underage brides and writings that ordered followers to "fight to the death" when police eventually came for him.

The same jury that convicted Jeffs last week of sexually assaulting two of his child "brides" could now hand down their punishment early as Tuesday. Even in prison, he could continue to lead the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Among the final pieces of evidence was an audiotape of Jeffs having sex and one of him telling five girls to "set aside all your inhibitions" as he gives his child brides instructions on how to please him sexually.

Yayyyyyyy! Well, that's one down. I'm hearing Willie the Thug would like to be the next profit prophet, and who here thinks he'd do any better than Warren Jeffs? (Not raising my hand....)

“For the record, the Mormons left Ohio after the failure of the Kirtland Safety Society. Their bank was never chartered with the state, never had any contributed capital, never had any competent management, and issued large amounts of counterfeit money. Thousands of people were financially ruined in the fiasco, which was one of the triggers of the Panic of 1837 and following five year depression ... “

Looking for the record I find a different story.

I do hope Warren will have a very large, promiscuous, queer cellmate, who tells Warren to “”set aside all your inhibitions” as he gives his child bride instructions on how to please him sexually.

Did posting that excite you?

Warren Jeffs has done nothing different than what Joseph Smith did. Interesting that there is outrage here but millions follow Joseph Smith when he was no different.

After all your complaining about me showing up on your threads, you are actually trying to pull me into one by suggesting with no evidence that I gave “borderline questionable commentary” that you conveniently can’t cite?

It’s nice to see that CPS didn’t sink THIS prosecution — at least not that we know of yet, as they haven’t had a verdict yet.

Looking for the record I find a different story.

I used Fawn Brodie's No Man Knows My History and Hubert Bancroft's History of Utah as my primary sources, although the account is available elsewhere and can be easily verified through public records (referenced in Brodie IIRC).

Obviously, I know nothing about you personally, but would guess that you are probably LDS based on your comment about finding a different account of the Kirtland Safety Society fiasco in the records you consulted. Either way, you should be advised that the Mormon Church is infamous for distorting, rewriting, concealing and fabricating facts about historical incidents deemed embarrassing by church leadership to their cause.

Perhaps the most famous example concerns Mark Hofmann who sold at least 48 fabricated documents to the LDS Church (shown above left peddling a copy of the "Anthon transcript" to President Kimball, future President Hinkley, and Apostles Tanner, Romney, and Packer). The Church would either proudly display or secret away Hofmann's creations depending whether they were deemed beneficial or detrimental.

My favorite Hofmann forgery was the "Salamander Letter" wherein Joseph supposedly told Martin Harris yet another (of nine by my count) version of the First Vision wherein this time Joseph was supposedly visited by an elf disguised as an amphibian. Gerald Tanner, engaged as an expert by the U.S. Government, immediately dismissed the document as a fraud. On the other hand, LDS leadership, relying on the opinion of a forensic documents examiner, accepted the letter as genuine and made payments to Mark.

Please let me know if you feel that the Hofmann incident was an anomaly concerning Church attempts to distort historical records, and, time permitting, I would be pleased to provide you with many more examples.

what is the best, fastest way to gather some loyal men around you?....tell them that its okay to go after little girls and to keep several of them...its a message from the dreams of Joseph Smith....con man extrodinaire....

its sad to me that he was able to con so many people....but what is the excuse today?....when all the history is there to be seen....all the words...the murders...the secrecy...

I know its because once you're a Mormon, you're always a Mormon...kind of like once your a Catholic....its tough to leave what you grew up with....

but honestly, if Mormons say they believe in the Bible and in Jesus Christ as THE saviour....then there is plenty of room in Christian denominations...

I think first it was about sex with little girls, kept as "wives"....but then later, as with Hoffman, it was more about keeping control of all the Mormon money and their disciples, who do the Mormon bidding..

protecting their empire..projecting a good clean wholesome culture despite the history...

okay...I'll still support Mitt if he's the candidate!
