I think he also said something like “Rebuild America on a new foundation”. Of course that means you have to tear down the existing foundation (liberty, free markets, capitalism, etc.). FDR brought it quite a ways. Obama is trying to finish it. (See the link at my tagline).

He told us after being elected that he wanted to fundamentally transform America. The problem is, most at the time didnt understand what he meant by this and werent paying attention to what he stood for. Most here, however, saw the statement for what it meant, which is he wanted to fundamentally transform America away from what has made America great. And he's doing it in large and small chunks while the MSM doesnt challenge him on anything and the sheeple are more concerned about American Idol and Dancing With The Stars.

After a bumpy beginning, I’ve grown to like West. He’s new to the field, but he’s got a future ahead of him. He may be blunt at times, but he’s honest, brave and passionate about his beliefs. I respect that.

This is the same reason behind choking oil production and pushing “green” energy. No way “green” energy supports a thriving capitalist economy.

Lots of my relatives get very pissed off when I say obama is doing this on purpose. And, of course, they continue to say that the republicans are causing all the problems.
And the motive?

His words here ring a bit hollow given his culpability (along with the Rinos) for voting to send us further down the path of fiscal destruction. I thought he was different. I won’t go so far as to call him a full fledged hypocrite, but he seems to be talking one way and voting another of late. Talk is cheap, what is important is how one votes. That is my measure of the value of a congressman.

The motive is what some long dead communist said in the last century:
“when things get bad enough the people will take whatever you give them”.
It’s a means to a revolution. Just think how evil this is - ruining lives and a country for his own disproven theory of how the world should be. And I’m sure in his mind he sees himself as the arbitrator of fairness and benefits for the human fodder in his path.

I believe that national security is the most important problem our country is facing today. One of the major threats is radical Islamism, and its goal to kill us and to destroy our nation. If you think our country is in economic trouble now, you’ll see even greater chaos if we experience another terrorist attack like 9/11. A president with business experience will not be enough to save us.
Is any one else here seriously concerned about the overthrow of so many Middle East and African countries in the past year? Egypt, Libya Syria, etc? Has Obama’s tenure emboldened the rebels? Will all of the new governments be ruled by Sharia Law and the tenets of Islam?
I do not believe that all Muslims are evil. Absolutely not! But it is difficult to determine who supports us and who wants us dead.
We need an individual who is willing to identify the evil confronting us and who has the intestinal fortitude to meet them head-on; someone who has come face to face with the enemy and does not fear them. In my opinion, that person is Allen West. I am still hoping that Sarah Palin will decide not to run but instead give her support to Allen West.
I think the plan is to have enough people dependent on government that they are hooked - this is the stated intent with Obamacare. That plus the cheating and he must figure he can worm his way into POTUS for life.
You're absolutely correct. We've seen the way Obama gets legislation to pass when he has majorities in both Houses; we've also seen his strategy to get "emergency" bills through when he doesn't. He goes in front of the American people, and presents a crisis, whether real, or mostly manufactured.
If the unemployment rate continues to rise, and the economy continues to falter, there will come a day when he presents his "Emergency Takeover" plan for the entire US economy. Many might scoff, but there will be the down-trodden and MSM who will go along with it. His goal is to "prove" capitalism doesn't work, and that central planning is best. It will all be attempted under the guise of an emergency.

The next thing will be that we don't need to have Presidential elections and the already illegal usurper would remain for life. It's no wonder firearms and ammunition sales are way up!
