Limbaugh: GOP Establishment "Does Not Want A Conservative Getting The Nomination"

RUSH LIMBAUGH: My friends, do not doubt me. I know this is going to shock many of you, and maybe disappoint a lot of you. But when you talk about the Republican establishment -- and you've read their pieces today -- you know what I'm talking about: The columnists, the magazine directors, editors, publishers, whatever, they are reaching and searching for a counter to the conservatives. They don't want Herman Cain getting the nomination; they don't want Perry getting the nomination; they don't want Bachmann getting the nomination. The Republican establishment does not want a conservative getting the nomination...

I remember Rush when he lost his memory, before he lost his hearing.

Nearly a decade went by when he seldom recalled we were being invaded by millions, our sovereignty and borders totally threatened, with epic violence, not to mention causing a destabilization of the U.S.

Plus, Perry’s Texas has spent $400 million of state dollars on securing the border. Money that the federal government should be spending, not Texas.

I think it’s funny that these non-border candidates have no solutions of their own, but they can criticize Perry. Herb Cain’s solution is apparently to make it a state issue, which is ridiculous if you consider the amount of money a border state would have to spend to protect a federal border.

If that means that the nation gets another 4 year of pain - good.

This nation doesn’t have four more years of pain left in it.

Or six, by you sitting it out.

*Unbelievable

You are so very right, my friend.

Here in KS, we have dealt with our share of RINOs (from Eisenhower forward to Nancy Landon Kassebaum) and they'd rather vote for Satan himself before they'd elect a pro-life conservative.

I say "pro-life" simply because that is the ONE huge dividing line between us, though they aren't keen on guns, hate school choice, loathe the Defense of Marriage Act.

KS RINOs claim to be "fiscal conservatives" (yet they also cling to the liberal versions of the above items) but Kassebaum voted like Teddy Kennedy when she served in the Senate from KS! So much for the "fiscal conservative" drivel.

The end result for people desiring to run for office in KS in the GOP, the real killer to the nomination is, "are you pro-life?" If you answer yes to that one, you might as well realize that those RINOs will run some RINO/mod against you in a Primary election and pour millions into the race for the RINO. Should you be fortunate enough to win against their heavily funded RINO, they will vote for the dimocRAT!

Case in point, KS 3rd District ran Kris Kobach, the Constitutional Law professor that files lawsuits on behalf of those fighting tuition for illegals, no photo IDs for voting, etc., he ran in the 3rd District to beat a worthless dim only to have the RINOs run one of their own, who lost to Kris, then they go out and support the dim anyway - anything but a "creepy pro-lifer."

It has been this way for decades - probably since Reagan, if not at least Eisenhower!

Rush is right except Perry. I think they’d accept Perry.

So far, he seems like the one they're most eager to crush.

"Border security is a federal issue and not the responsibility of the states."

That's what the Federales claim, but they refuse to do the job, and have actually sued Arizona to prevent their attempt to protect their border- Perry said that the Arizona law was "not appropriate" for TX, altho he recently is claiming that he is standing with them in their lawsuit. Perry has the TX National Guard, TX DPS, Texas Rangers, AND the responsibility to protect TX if invaded. He has NOT protected the border.

“They ARE WHO GOT US INTO THIS MESS AND THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!!!!”

Which is why I only contribute (the little I donate) to CONSERVATIVE candidates, and not the party.

And thanks for your interesting post.

matthew fuller -- don't let the pro-amnesty Perry supporters lie to you.

=========================================================================

But just to be clear: if border security is accomplished, you can envision some sort of path to citizenship for people who are here illegally.

Rick Perry: Sure.

“We’re gonna end up with Romney unless someone else enters - soon.”

Only if you base your belief on TODAY’S polls.

Four years ago, Hillary was ahead of Obama, 2-1.

It’s still EARLY, FRiend.

Why are there more troops on the border of North Korea than there are on our own borders?

Because, obviously, the (DNC/RNC) coalition does not want our border protected.

While the Mexican police will kill you if they catch you crossing their border, we are busy offering tuition, welfare, and free medical care.

This is no accident.

We have a “duty to protect” Libyan civilians but not Texas civilians? It is absurdity and insanity on it’s head.

And, our government (both) are to blame. They are all whoring, traitorous, looting, pieces of shit. All of them.

In what way is Perry a social liberal?

Pro-instate tuition for ILLEGAL aliens is socially liberal. Pro-amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens is socially liberal.

You can lie and deny all you want but Americans are seeing Slick-Rick for what he is -- a liberal with an R next to his name.

I don’t see the parallel.

It is early, but my prediction is based on a continuation of what we’ve been doing. And what we’ve been doing is only helping Romney.

That’s not amnesty. Do you even know what amnesty is? Perry is 100% against it. Amnesty and a guest worker program is not the same thing. There are many different variables in immigration policy.

I don’t know what your game is on FR, but your intellect seems to be based on some sort of binary code where only 0 or 1 are the possible answers. I offer to you that there are 2s 3s, 8s, 11s, etc., etc., on this complicated issue.

I provided a link that shows Perry is dead-set against amnesty. You pull up a quote that has nothing to do with amnesty and then called me a liar. Also, you do realize that it is already state law in Texas so LEO can ask for citizenship, right, and that Arizona was behind Texas in doing this. You also realize that Texas has a strict voter ID law, right, which makes it near impossible for illegals to vote.

You know all of this, right?

I was a big fan of Larry McDonald, and was devastated when I found out he was on that airplane. In fact, I suspected the Soviets knew he was on that airplane, because he was so on to them. His party label, like that governor of Georgia who also refused to switch to the Republicans, was meaningless. He was conservative, and that is my party.

We had a guest worker program in the 50s. Maquilladora it was called or something like that. It worked quite well.

At our current birth rates, the country is going to need increased immigration for economic growth and stability. What’s needed is sane legal immigration methods.

I’ve already provided proof that Perry is against amnesty in this thread. There is even video at the link.

If you want to keep calling me a liar, at least acknowledge that you are confused on the difference between a guest worker program with no voting rights and “amnesty” as Juan McLame and Obama supported.

Or, keep typing lies about Perry’s amnesty position, because that seems to be your strongsuit.
