In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain had harsh words for the Occupy Wall Street movement and the people who blame Wall Street for their financial situations.
Cain would also claim that the Occupy Wall Street protests are possibly a planned distraction to make people forget about President Obamas role in handling the economy.
Talking Points Memo reports:
Cain went on to blame the unemployed for their woes, saying, if you dont have a job and youre not rich, blame yourself!:
CAIN: I dont have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration. Dont blame Wall Street, dont blame the big banks, if you dont have a job and youre not rich, blame yourself! [...] It is not someones fault if they succeeded, it is someones fault if they failed.

Well, you are entitled to that opinion, but IMO it is not based on a realistic understanding of the situation of most Americans who were working full time, and are now working part time or at a quarter to a half of their previous income with limited or no benefits - the people I know in that position are desperate to get back to work in a job that fully uses their skills and takes advantage of their motivation to "do whatever it takes" to succeed in that job.
In fact, to claim otherwise is pretty much a slander on the many Americans who find themselves out of work in this "recession" after decades of employment - some of whom are regular contributors here.

Cain may be the one candidate who can get away with this without being crusified by the MSM.
He is on MSNBC Last Word now taking on Liberal Larry ...
A black conservative Republican candidate taking on a MSNBC (Sleezy race-baiting ) white liberal face to face on civil rights. I have dreamed of this for many years. Even Bachmann couldnt pull this one off.
Go Herman! You are taking me over....
Was Bammy in the military??? Hypocrite Larry had no such standard in 2008 over Bammy and McCain .Cain was working for the department of the Navy then
I am loving Cain! It is on again at 11pm EST. DVR it!
Thanks. Will DVR it.
Thanks americanophile.
Herman Cain didn’t poll within a point of Mittwit for no freakin’ reason.
I’m glad you tipped me to it.
I personally suspect that Lawrence O’Donnell is wangling to be Herman Cain’s Sam Donaldson.
Thanks for the out-of-context, media drivel.
I know some truly brilliant engineers who worked as civilian employees of the military during Vietnam. They later worked at NASA, but quit before the current leftist NASA management took over.
I asked one of them them about Gene Krantz, Flight Director for Apollo 13. He said "On a good day we called him a jackass."
Just wait and see.
