Cain drowns out Perry at Republican Showdown (VIDEO)

Cain, an African American former pizza mogul who has managed an unlikely surge into the top tier of the candidates chasing the 2012 Republican party nomination, delivered a bravura speech, which had Christian voters rolling with laughter and cheering out loud.

"People are a little bit afraid that this longshot, may not be a longshot any longer!" Cain said, in a speech mixing soaring conservative rhetoric and blunt humor, which touched the crowd in a way that Perry's appearance did not.

He vowed to pursue a foreign policy of "peace through strength" and promised a new "clarity" towards US enemies including Iran, proposing a plan to upgrade a US missile defense system based on AEGIS destroyers.

Then, he said he would tell Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "Make my Day!" drawing one of a repeated series of standing ovations.

They are not running for “Entertainment-in-Chief”, they are running for President and Perry’s record overshadows any of the other GOP candidate’s record.

The article also didn’t mention that Perry got standing ovation when he spoke.

This is getting too easy for Cain. You’d think the illegal-loving wing of the party could put someone a bit stronger for Perry. I’m almost feeling sorry for Perry now.

Perry’s record overshadows any of the other GOP candidate’s record.

By all means, cast your primary vote for Perry.

I will most likely be casting mine primary vote for Cain. He has been my favorite since he announced. Some see Cain's lack of experience as an elected official. I see that as a HUGE plus.

Cain drowns out Perry at Republican Showdown (VIDEO)

Cain's done more than drown Perry out, he's rolled right over him.

Next target -- Myth Romney!

I watched most of the Herminator yesterday on C-Span and he had them hooting like teenaged girls at an Elvis concert.

The man can sell an idea and his delivery is right on.

Straight talk and funny as hell.

The msm will begin the "pubic hair on the coke can" routine, and drag out every thing they can find in his past.

If they can't find enough bad, dirty crap, they will just invent it.

The next story will be that Cain had sex with both Sarah and Todd Palin, in Church, with all the kids watching, and the Rev. Wright was filming the act.

The party hacks have their guy, Mitt. Cain is running to be his VP.

He sure doesn’t sound like it in that speech. He’s going full bore and he’s not taking any prisoners.

Party hacks can’t have their guy without my vote, and they won’t be getting it, since I’m giving it to Herman Cain.

“The party hacks have their guy, Mitt. Cain is running to be his VP.”

LOL, you need to tell him that...he wouldn’t be leading now if he planned to settle for VP.

soaring conservative rhetoric

Gee, I wonder what parallels they're trying to draw with that phrase...

I like Cain, I think he can change the system away from the career politicians we currently have. They consider themselves the elite and better than all of us, time for them to go.

I’m not the one who told reporters he would be happy to be Myth’s VP choice, Cain was. People who plan to win the gold don’t usually talk about how happy they would be to take the silver.
