WEST DES MOINES, IOWA — In our interview, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich discussed what kind of First Lady his wife Calista might be.
Gingrich is quoted in the new e-book “THE RIGHT FIGHTS BACK,” by Mike Allen and Evan Thomas, saying she would be in the Nancy Reagan mold. So that’s where we started.
What did he mean by that? I asked.
“First of all she is a very strong personality, which Nancy Reagan was,” Gingrich said. “She actually describes herself as being a cross between Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush with just a slight bit of Jackie Kennedy tossed in and I think there is, somewhere swirling in there, the model Calista would like to live up to.”

OMG I just read your link and it explains a lot — like why Gingrich was so silent during the whole impeachment effort. I figured that something like this was going, but this confirms it.

Nonetheless, here’s my amateur analysis of why Gingrich has a better chance.
a) Cain has shot himself in his junk; his wife will finish it off
b) Perry has shot himself in his tongue
c) Bachmann has shot herself up with valium and is trapped in a dreamlike alternative reality
d) Nobody outside of “I Am A Mor(m)on” Utah and MSNBC likes Romney
e) Santorum has shojkkkkkkkjkkk snork oops, sorry, I fell asleep
f) Who am I forgetting?
Gingrich wins by default. No, he’s *not* Ronald Reagan — or even Nancy Reagan — but we could do far worse.

Obama is so hated, all newt has to do is moderate his tone a little for those pansies and say he could work w deems like he did bubba to get things done and they will vote for him.
Amazing. Here’s a candidate who is showing confidence in his ability to win and lead and he is doing it with ideas rather than bashing his opponents. Frankly, I like his aggression. As to his wife, she is a pretty bright woman maybe not as attractive as Palin but then again, newt is no Rick Perry or Romney for that matter.
