Newt Gingrich vs. Mitt Romney -- Has It Really Come Down to This?
Fox News ^ | November 28, 2011 | John LeBoutillier

Posted on 12/12/2011 11:12:28 AM PST by Clintonfatigued

So the Republican race – in a year when President Obama is totally beatable -- has come to this: Newt Gingrich, serial philanderer, liar, hypocrite, secret Rockefeller Republican, back-stabber and megalomaniac versus Mitt Romney, the Supreme Panderer, the man-with-no-principles, an utter phony who will say anything and flip-flop at any time – and someone who was not a Reaganite until he ran for president in 2007.

How can the GOP have sunk so low?

Two candidates so flawed, so inherently fraudulent and so phony.

It is almost as if the Republican Party wanted to help Obama get re-elected.

Clearly the GOP primary voters and caucus attendees do not want Mitt Romney. After six years of running, we have seen enough. We don’t buy Mitt. Period. Even while all his flavor-of-the-month opponents have come and gone, Mitt never goes up. The others come and go – and Mitt just keeps steady with about 20% of the GOP vote. Period.

How can a party end up nominating someone who only has tepid support from a disbelieving party base? How can that party support someone with 80% of the voters wanting someone else?

Yup.

Guy I wanted was Daniels, but even he was derided here as being a RINO. But here's not here either. We've got who we've got, and whining about who we wish was in the race doesn't do any good.

I no longer can take seriously anything this serial whiner John LeBoutillier writes.

We agree. May be a first.

One world government, one world economy, one world religion is the plan.

It may be the plan, but it isn't the future. Look at what is happening to the EU and the euro. What the NWO megalomaniacs ignore is the will of the people and the people don't want the NWO.

For the time being, I'd plan on there being a LOT of separate, individual nations in the world to contend with because the whole NWO thing is collapsing as we speak.

Our choices this time are infinitely better that what we had last time.

They are, and the nominee (so long as it's not Huntsman) won't be so awed by Obama as to not take the fight to him. McCain was way too fascinated and impressed with Obama to give victory his best shot. Palin saw through the Obama fraud and certainly wanted to win, but McCain didn't.

I am so sick of hear that laod of horse hocky! Well this person or that person would be better than Obama. That’s not saying anything. HELL Hannibal Lecter would be better than Obama! It’s like arguing if Hitler or Stalin would be a better ruler.

-——One world government, one world economy, one world religion is the plan.-——

Why are you planning that?

There is no republican candidate with your agenda

I remember reading a similar thread when it was clear John McCain was going to win the nomination in 2008. We were on suicide watch on FR. What changed that was one heck of a VP pick (Palin). All of a sudden we were excited about the election once again. Call me an optimist, but I am praying Newt, or Mitt are smart enough to figure out what will be needed to get the conservatives to show up at the polls Nov 2012.

ACU covers only some votes and only covers his time in office. He has become much worse since then.

He won’t owe conservatives anything, so he do whatever Pelosi and Reid tell him to. We can look forward to Cap & Trade, him cementing Obama/Gingrichcare, gun control, etc.

I am finding it harder and harder to believe that this is the best we have to be President. I am finding it easier to believe that we have arrived at one party rule and that elections are staged entertainment to appease the masses.

When Rockefeller was running for president, Newt supported and campaigned for him. Newt, in his own words, says he was a Rockefeller state chairman of the South. In other words, he is an original Rockefeller Republican. That is how Newt gets the label — Rockefeller Republican.

Don’t forget that Howard Dean had it “all but wrapped up” in 2004 but the Dem party elite wanted something else and pushed Kerry. And in 2008, Hillary seemed to be a lock at this time in the campaign with Barry coming up from behind. And on the R side, Giuliani looked pretty good until he decided to sit out Iowa and NH and it was too late by the time the primary got to him sitting waiting in Florida.

Let the primaries play out. There are a few candidates that can still pull this off, not just Newt and Mitt. Michelle Bachman is from Iowa and won the Iowa straw poll in the summer. She has a good ground force there and could still make a good showing. Momentum builds and those further back in the pack pull out. Nothing is decided until the primaries and then the election in November is anybody but 0bama.

What do people expect? The left has preemptively disqualified our most promising candidates before the primary race started. Its their master plan, eliminate the strongest from contention before you have to run against them. Palin is a good example. They demonized, ridiculed and slandered her to the point where most people would not seriously consider her. Someone I know made an anti-palin comment and I asked what she had done to make her feel that way. The only thing she could think of was a made up comment from SNL. The Rat/media complex create a negative perception out of lies and inuendo on all Repub candidates that threaten them.

“Newt Gingrich vs. Mitt Romney — Has It Really Come Down to This?”

It may if the conservative candidates decide to continue to split the conservative vote between themselves and then drop out without supporting the conservative candidate who stays in. That is the likely scenario, seems to me.

I can’t wait to vote for whoever the Republican nominee is and stop Obama.

You really ought to source-tag your RNC propaganda.

That line is their central message to the Tea Party. "We made you lose, we own all the high cards, we own the GOP, get over it and vote for our guy. And we'll let you know who that is."

Screw the RiNO's! I'm voting for a real conservative.

..... but this time is WORSE because the Conservatives are helping....that is the disgusting part.

Yeah, especially the RNC surrenderbots who are still working FR, despite being thinned out by Jim Thompson.

Bingo. Exactly right. Whomever is the Pub candidate that goes up against Obama, has my vote. Period.
