Era of Voting for RINOs is Declared Over
Veritas2002 | 01-26-12 | Vanity

Posted on 01/26/2012 11:19:20 AM PST by veritas2002

This morning I authored a Vanity Post declaring that under no circumstance would I vote for Romney.

Even though I am a lifelong Republican and have NEVER voted for a Democrat in my 60+ years, I am finished with the biased liberal media (including Fox) and the Republican establishment selecting my (losing) candidate. Here are some of my reasons:

In 1976, a sitting MODERATE Republican president named Gerald R. Ford ran against a two-bit peanut farming liberal Georgia governor and LOST.

1n 1992, a sitting MODERATE Republican president named George Bush ran against a liberal Arkansas governor with a history of raping and abusing women and LOST.

In 1996 a sitting MODERATE US Republican senator named Robert Dole ran against a sitting liberal president named William (stained blue dress) Clinton who was later impeached and disbarred and LOST.

In 2008, a long-term sitting MODERATE US Republican senator named John McCain ran against a do-nothing jerk US Senator from Illinois whose sole qualifying credential was as a community organizer for ACORN and student of Saul Alinsky and LOST.

And now in 2012, the Republican Party insiders, along with the liberal press are trying to once again pick our candidate - a MODERATE Massachusetts Governor who introduced socialized medicine to his State and guess what my friends...

I respect your opinion, but any Republican or conservative abstaining from voting is basically casting a vote for the opposition. That’s just how it is in a two part system. Obama and the Dems would love to see a few million more people do what you plan to do.

endorsed the environmentalist wet dream of a carbon cap-and-trade market

This is an out and out lie. He testified in Congress AGAINST crap and tax. And wrote a book in 2008, Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less.

endorsed an individual mandate in health-care,

Gingrich has addressed this repeatedly saying it's unconstitutional. He also addressed it in a debate saying they were grasping at anything to stop HillaryCare and the mandate was an awful solution.

Let me clarify: I will NOT vote for Romney no matter what.

Me too.

And, frankly, I believe the GOP elite wants exactly that. I believe they want to lose to Obama. I believe some horrible American collapse is very close. And I believe the GOP would rather that the history books note that it was a Democrat at the helm at that time.

The key word there is "intentionally." 2012 is already showing every sign of delivering a whole lot of unintended consequenses.

A pandemic of ignorance and stupidity has infected the GOP.

(*tightens tinfoil hat, glances suspiciously through mini-blinds before typing*)

Either that or things are much worse than we know and the GOP elite are using reverse psychology on us in order to saddle Obama with America’s epic collapse.

(*locks & relocks doors 3 times, tightens tinfoil again for better reception*)

My reason for not voting for Romney if he’s the nominee is that I’d rather Obama take all the blame for finishing the job of wrecking the place than have Romney come in as ‘the conservative’ and have conservatism trashed when he achieves essentially the same end.

I’ll write in Gingrich and sleep well at night.

People ask me today who I voted for in 2008 and I’m happy to say I wrote in Thompson. At the time, he was the most conservative guy with his hat in the ring.

“I absolutely will NOT vote for or support the abortionist/statist socialist healthcare pushing Mitt Romney under any circumstances whatsoever!!”

“The elite GOP establishment can KMA!!”

Those are my exact thoughts.

My grandfather taught me that nobody could ever take away a man’s integrity. He said that to lose your integrity, you had to give it away and once given, you can never get it back.

I’ve made it to 63 without giving away my integrity and I’ll be damned if I will give it up now by voting for Romney.

GO NEWT GO..........

The fix in in for Romney. If Newt does not pull off an upset in Florida, and it goes to Romney, I will simply not vote. I will let the GOP go down in flames. The difference between Romney and Obama is, Obama does not care about his job and spends most of his time on vacation, campaigning or playing.

Romney on the other hand, will try to engineer his Socialist, Bigger Government (more streamlined he says) and will actually do far more harm than this do nothing incompetent now in office.

a MODERATE Massachusetts Governor

You're being very charitable. Romney is a full-blown, dyed-in-the-wool liberal. He's certainly more liberal than any of the other RINOs you listed, with the exception maybe of Ford.

Newt and Mitt aren’t Marxists.....

Mitt is a northeastern elitist technocrat who, though he isn't a full-blown Marxist like Obama, share's Obama's absolute contempt for everyone who doesn't live in the I-95 corridor north of the Virginia-Maryland border.

One of my biggest problems with Jim Robinson is you can never really be sure where he stands on an issue. /sarc

Seriously, give 'em hell, Jim!

a non-vote is a vote for Obama.

If Willard gets the nomination i'll vote for Obama over Willard. At least i know where Obama is coming from.

It's too late for this cycle, but I feel that it's time the conservatives abandon the Republican Party and form one of our own. We will never wrench the power from the elite establishment. We need to think of what our core issues should be, start the process now. What do you think .....

I THINK we hear this same comment pretty often.. its like deja vu. Something like every 4 years or so. Interesting coincidence isnt it?

I don’t see how we survive massive debt, long term unemployment, and seemingly no real effort to stop either. Maybe I am just to much of a optimist?
