Today We Must Flood Rush's Radio Show With Pleas For Him to Take A Stand in Florida
1/30/12 | Vanity

Posted on 01/30/2012 9:28:20 AM PST by OneVike

I have listened to rush Limbaugh since he was still in Sacramento Ca.. I listen to him every day from Monday to Friday. Even if I am on vacation I do my best to listen to him. It is not because I agree with him, but because he agrees with the vast majority of things I do. I even watched his show when it was on television. I own every news letter he ever put out, even the very first one. I joined in when he helped fire us up to defeat Hilarycare by protesting with other conservatives in Chico where I live. It was a great year, because that protest across the country helped bring the first republican House in almost 50 years.

Well, today we live in a time that sees America's very existence as a sovereign free nation, near an end, and it is my belief that Rush Limbaugh can turn the tide as he did almost 20 years ago. Rush, as you all know, lives in Florida and he has already voted, or he will vote tomorrow. I implore each and everyone of my fellow Freepers to call his show, and plead with his patriotism to step up and help us stop the cultist, Mitt Romney, from winning Florida's 50 delegates.

I have already began calling his show, and every-time I get a busy tone, I redial again. Let us all pin him to the wall, and force him to take a stance.

Respectfully, this is a bad idea, my FRiend.

El Rushbo needs to stay above the fray.

And IIRC, Rush is wary of any third party attempt (which would split the vote and elect, ugh, Obama); thus, he will (again, IIRC) likely support the GOP nominee, whomever that might be.

It carries much more force if he doesn't end up supporting someone in the general that he opposed in the primaries.

.

All Rush does is bash Romney and praise Mitt — I don’t think you need to do anything. And calling Romney a “cultist” doesn’t really help your cause.

Santorum is a good man and strong conservative...we need him to keep speaking out. Newt is the warrior who is not afraid to ruffle the Establishment and Left’s feathers...with reason, fact and common sense. America needs that sort of courage to challenge Washington, D.C.

He won’t endorse a specific candidate for several reasons not usually vocalized.

1. Candidates buy a lot of ad time on his affiliate stations. Endorsing a specific candidate could hurt the stations’ selling.

2. Its not Rush’s style to endorse a specific candidate in a primary. He is about not telling people what to do but acting on their own. He doesn’t want a candidate sullied in more liberal states by the soundbites ‘xx only won because Rush told his minions to vote for him..bought and paid for by Rush...’ etc.

3. A specific candidate can bite you this early on if that candidate drops out or something embarrassing comes out. He isn’t the type to want to jump loyalties, endorsing xx one week and yy the next week.

No, he is a radio host. You make a stand.

Ditto that too, that's Rush's style also.

Tell Rush to do another Radio OPERATION HILLERY where Rush encouraged people to extend 2008 Dem Primary by backing Hillary. Rush could follow Sarah Palin’s example, by saying VOTE FOR NEWT to extend the GOP primary season.

Is Rush STILL carrying the Republican Water? By sitting on the sidelines in FL isn’t Rush ALSO enabling Romney to take the FL primary and thereby give the SAME people he cried about carrying their water for before now getting another chance to sink conservatism?

Tell him to take a stand!

Here are his words after the 2006 disaster.

“LIMBAUGH: Now, I mentioned to you at the conclusion of the previous hour that people have been asking me how I feel all night long. And I got, “Boy, Rush, I wouldn’t want to be you tomorrow. Boy, I wouldn’t want to have to do your show. Boy, I’m so glad I’m not you.” Well, folks, I love being me. I can’t be anybody else, so I’m stuck with it. But the way I feel is this: feel liberated, and I’m just going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don’t think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, “Well, why have you been doing it?” Because the stakes are high. Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country’s than the Democrat [sic] Party does and liberalism.

And I believe my side is worthy of victory, and I believe it’s much easier to reform things that are going wrong on my side from a position of strength. Now, I’m liberated from having to constantly come in here every day and try to buck up a bunch of people who don’t deserve it, to try to carry the water and make excuses for people who don’t deserve it. I just — I did not want to sit here and participate, willingly, in the victory of the libs, in the victory of the Democrat [sic] Party by sabotaging my own. But now with what has happened yesterday and today, it is an entirely liberating thing. If those in our party who are going to carry the day in the future — both in Congress and the administration — are going to choose a different path than what most of us believe, then that’s liberating. I don’t say this with any animosity about anybody, and I don’t mean to make this too personal.

I’m not trying to tell you that this is about me. I’m just answering questions that I’ve had from people about how I feel. But there have been a bunch of things going on in Congress, some of this legislation coming out of there that I have just cringed at, and it has been difficult coming in here, trying to make the case for it when the people who are supposedly in favor of it can’t even make the case themselves — and to have to come in here and try to do their jobs. I’m a radio guy. I understand what this program has become in America and I understand the leadership position it has. I was doing what I thought best, but at this point, people who don’t deserve to have their water carried, or have themselves explained as they would like to say things but somehow don’t be — aren’t able to, I’m not under that kind of pressure.

"No, he is a radio host. You make a stand."

bttt

Listen "between the lines", and you will know that he supports Santorum (as does his brother, David Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and Michelle Malkin.) In addition to that, he has already said he will not come out and endorse anyone in the primary, but will vote for whoever our nominee is.

It’s one thing to not endorse.

It’s another to give Romney s BS attacks on Newt cover by citing the Founders.

Unbelievable.

Exactly.

If Rush wants this to keep going all summer to damage Obama, then he needs to do more than he can do the same thing Sarah did.

Rush Limbaugh supports Romney. He has taken a stand and its for Romney.

If Rush told everyone to vote for Romney it would hurt his creditability. Instead, he trashes every one else except Romney and when he does ‘criticize’ Romney its always thinly concealed praise.

Keep calling. Make your case for Newt.

The anti-Newt emails he gets are organized from Team Romney.

I am, but I keep getting a busy tone.

That is why we need a coordinated effort of tens of thousands.

I question those who say they support Newt, but refuse to go all out. Calling Rush is one way.

Even if Rush does not endorse anyone openly, at least we get a message that we are and why we are.

I don’t ask un-elected entertainers to take a stand for me, because don’t assume that their wants and needs parallel mine in any way. They’re entertainers, paid to say things that people tune in to hear, and are beholden to people I would never align myself with.

I take my own stand and suggest you do the same.

Rush does not endorse..he has always said that. He does not invite candidates on the show, the candidates request to be on the show.

So don't waste your time trying to gin up e-mails. Ask your favorite candidate to request to be on the show, if he has not been so already.

You should know that if a long time listener or insider. He repeats it ever so often.

Talk show hosts are going to air the comments of the candidates and other notables and discuss them--some candidates get caught up in their own accusations and that becomes embarrassing, others have some witty comment on sending politicians to the moon and that gets comment, some fight back to a CNN host on the irregularity of bringing up a past private family experience, that gets talked about, another could have inappropriately used a body part close to his name and that gets really talked about. It all makes the news. No one is spared.
