Newt needs to talk more about what the AMERICAN PEOPLE can do with LESS GOVERNMENT and how we need to CUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING BY OVER A TRILLION DOLLARS and talk less about how great government is.

You have as much chance for PASSING LEGISLATION for cutting $ one-trillion from the Federal Budget ...

Questions ?

If he’s going to cut taxes especially to a flat 15% or so (like we need him to) he’s going to have to be persuasive enough to cut government by a HUGE amount. Reagan did this beginning with a business-based task force that focused on government waste. The tax decrease can actually help (”supply-side” revenue). Where did that trillion-dollar “stimulus “ go? Useless cabinet departments need to be abolished. We can’t keep living on borrowed money especially at this level. It’s time to wake up to economic reality.

First we need a space program that emphasizes it’s military mission. Then maybe we can get around to Mars.

Well then prepare for a societal collapse similar to what is happening in Greece right now. Also prepare for a third word dirt poor lifestyle. The world is going to dump the dollar if we do not immediately take steps to protect the value of the dollar and when that happens we are screwed. $5.00/gallon gas will seem like the good old days.

Boy they were sure stepping all over themselves trying to say that Nancy Reagans’s speach about the torch being passed to Newt were “taken out of context”

The libtards clearly dont care when they take something out of context, but from what I heard it was clear IN CONTEXT

Maybe they don’t even know what ‘out of context’ means

“Questions ?”

Sure. Ever heard of a Presidential veto? A very interesting tool in the hands of someone who would be delighted to use it, who couldn’t care less about being re-elected, and whose favorite President is the one who (previously) wielded it the most.

I agree, but it is not going to happen. Newt is comfortable with big government social engineering as long as the most current management practices and the latest technology are employed in the process. He often talks about how to streamline government bureaucracy and make it operate more efficiently, but rarely about reigning in its basic role. Michele Bachmann was right. Newt is basically a frugal socialist.

I see. Because the chance of actually passing legislation to cut spending by that much so remote, a Presidential candidate should not even talk about it. That is the most nonsensical position I have heard in quite some time. What was the probability of passing legislation banning slavery when the abolitionist movement first got started? What would have happened the anti-slavery cause if such thinking had prevailed among the early abolitionists? We are on the verge on bankruptcy and more than anything else need leaders who will at least entertain the notion of drastic cuts in spending.

Cutting a trillion isn’t a bad idea, Dr. Twinkie ... In fact I’ve been waiting for you to publish just exactly where to cut that trillion ... otherwise political statements are akin to wishing that all 3 year holds could teach calculus ... or that all women were beautiful and men handsome ... the Liberal MSM would STOP fawning over Dr. Twinkies if that DETAILED trillion dollar list were ever actually proposed ...
