I know Hannity is persona non grata around here, but this is GOOD!
First part not too bad; Rattner in second just wasted time citing 53% of Catholics agreed with Obama’s compromise. Inane. Rex Reed excellent. Wish someone would get around to why women’s health has nothing, zero, nada, to do with the argument!
YES, it was very good....we listen on XM radio...so couldn’t tell how many he was taking to...do you know?
I keep thinking this has more to do with MEN’s freedom than women’s health
Is Ellen Rattner not the re incarnation of the Wicked Witch of the West?
Like zero, evil personified.
That’s a whole barely examined side to this issue. At the extreme it allows men to alleycat all they want without worrying about getting “punished with a baby” (even if indirectly through the mother).
Yes, it does.
It's hard to tell what you meant by that. That only males care about issues of freedom of religion or freedom of conscience? Or that the Obama administration is doing this to restrict the freedom of all people (as in "All men are created equal"?).
I don't think Obama and company care particularly about women's health. They do care about women's votes and want to win them by offering something "for free" and portraying anyone who opposes them as hostile to women's interests.
I’ve always maintained that the abortion debate needs to shift to the male side of the equation.
Every person I’ve known who had an abortion did so because the male in her life essentiall backed out on her ...if she even knew him.
Too much of the burden is on women. Irresponsible and selfish men are half the problem.
Wish one of our candidates would bring this up sometime in the future.

You sound exactly like me 40-odd years ago when the Equal Rights Amendment was wending its (thank God, unsuccessful) way through Congress. Of COURSE it’s about men. This is the perfect way to avoid ALL responsibility—first for the pregnancy, then for the upbringing of the child.
The female graduate student at Catholic University of America who was on the PBS News Hour a few nights ago (described as a "non-practicing Catholic") was angry that she would be expected to pay for her own birth control at the rate of $30 a month. How about making her sex partners pay for the pills or condoms?
In her mind apparently "the pursuit of happiness" means "the pursuit of pleasure" and she has an inalienable right to have someone else pay for it.
Very good story / things like that deserve to be remembered.
The liberal Catholic priest from ABC (powder blue sweater- gee, I hope he’s a UNC fan?)) said he didn’t want to politicize the issue by reading Dolan’s statement at Mass. Would he have said the same thing during the 1960’s civil rights fight? How about slavery? Would powder blue stay on the sidelines?
PS- as a practicing Catholic, I gave myself some license in decribing the good Father.
>at the rate of $30 a month.
That sounds like a tax-writoff to me: business supplies.
All I’m getting is two annoying females trying to talk over each other.
Obama just wants to kill more black babies.2007 Abortion Rates Per 1,000:
Whites = 21.5 (1,039,000 babies killed)
Blacks = 63.9 (505,000 babies killed)
Other = 25.1 (65,000 babies killed)

Fired up and I am not religious. This is an assault on Constitution.
Fired up and I am not religious. This is an assault on Constitution.
If you can’t afford a condom you can’t afford a child.
What made me think about it was a priest I saw on the news this morning and he wrongly stated that he couldn’t talk about politics from the pulpit.
The reality is that he can openly endorse a candidate or speak openly about any political policy he wants but will lose the tax exempt status if he does.
Personally I’d like to see more churches ditch the exemption and speak openly against that restriction on free speech.
Lovely reminder, and certainly more sensitive than “Praise God and pass the ammunition.”
All that Jamoo the Shrew wench is, is a Muslim Brotherhood Obammy sympathizer, that got a make-over. (Im not just making this up...there are articles about this witch—GOogle her!)
Yes, it’s obvious that liberal abortion laws and widespread contraception and abortion benefit irresponsible male cads much more than they benefit women. Separating sex from procreation has resulted in a severe debasing and devaluation of women. I figure the women who fight for abortion must have serious mental problems not to see this.
Wow, amazing story (nice graphic, too). Thanks for posting!
>The reality is that he can openly endorse a candidate or speak openly about any political policy he wants but will lose the tax exempt status if he does.
De Facto violation of the first amendment then, as the policy (which is authorized by the Congress) in effect regulates religion.
>Personally Id like to see more churches ditch the exemption and speak openly against that restriction on free speech.
I agree; it’s a limited application of “you are never more free than when you have nothing to lose.”
You see, I hope, that this is all part of the secular plan. If our taxes are supporting government-designated charities, we have less to give to our churches and their institutions. The tax-exemption may be short-lived if this battle’s lost.
Need that on a bumper sticker. 'cept I couldn't drive the car to church. LOL
“burned down his own church in front of him.”
0bama and the Democrats are fire-bombing the religious. Dresden II.
The early bird gets the worm.
Couldn’t disagree more. This is the double standard trick box, the secular left likes to paint.
However, the same secular left who now threaten Dolan & Co. Couldn’t get enough religion in politics in th 1960’s. From the civil rights movement, to the anti-war movement Churches and their ministers spoke their minds unapologetically. The IRS would never dare threaten MLK.
Think about the political ministers from the 1960’s? The Reverend Martin Luther King, te Reverend Joseph Lowery, the Reverend Jessie Jackson, Sloan coffin at Yale, Father Berrigan. Father Drinan was a communist priest elected to Congres!. The liberal left gorged themselves with religion in polotics in the 1960’s when it suited their purposes. Now they act shocked that there is gambling in Casablanca?

“Dresden II’’? Dresden got what it deserved. And so did Hamburg and Berlin.
The men can do that for themselves, the day they will be able to fall pregnant.
It was meant as a kind of subtle allusion to the FREEDOM it gives men to screw around, and not have any consequences....not to mention the women....
And, lest ye forget—the good Fr. Drinan got the beribboned young Lt. Kerry into Boston College. Fr. Drinan was on the faculty there, and Kerry couldn’t get into Yale Law—some say because he couldn’t produce an honorable discharge from the Navy. They’re all alike—corrupt.
HUH? You might want to think for a moment before you attack....sheesh....and maybe ask for a clarification of your understanding of what I said.
YES, I know it’s about religions freedom...but, I don’t think Obomba thinks so...obviously by his second proclamation today.
I was trying to think of an image that is true. Fire bombing worked in this instance.
But so does the image of the Cambodian man from the Killing Fields. He really did walk on skulla to get away from Pol Pot.
Wow. Now that’s a compilation.
I recognized the face immediately. I think the powder blue’s to remind us that he’s really not one of those up-tight Catholic priests who stick to dogma. Guess he didn’t dare show up in a Santorum sweater. Priests like him are responsible for schisms. They’re the same ones that tell you in Confession that he understands why you’ve got to get an abortion at this incredibly delicate period of your life, why you’ve got to continue taking the pill. I asked my father once how these priests rationalized or justified giving such advice. Did they take on the sin themselves, I asked. The answer was, of course, no. Any priest giving advice like that committed a whole new sin, and worse than the one he was forgiving in God’s name—scandal.
Its about POWER. Most Catholics dont realize this:

Wouldn't that make her a whore? See what Obama wants is to be her pimp. Drugs for votes.
This is a life issue and a freedom issue. I think it’s so important to keep all the facts (some not so factual) together for everyone to at least glance at. Yes, it took some time, but I believe in what I am doing.
