As usual I have to be the oddball.
Gooseberry maybe?
According to a recent Trader Joe’s ad flyer, the strawberry, although a wonderful fruit, doesn’t botanically qualify as a “true berry.” However, the banana does! (Bananas are picked green, therefore do not have fully developed seeds in them like a huckleberry would.) But to say I’m a banana would weird everyone out. So I will say I’m a silly gooseberry.

That picture of berries in the opening post does in fact show gooseberries in all their large green glory. Gooseberries are used for pies, jellies, and wines among other things. I’ve never had a gooseberry pie (or gooseberry anything else) but now I think I want to get some gooseberries and try it. Maybe they wouldn’t look so appealing on waffles, but one could say that about kiwi fruit too.
